The gun thing was just a misfire. Many possible reasons. The pin didn't hit the bullet cartridge hard enough, its damaged, bent or chipped. Primer not set properly, or its wet, not oiled properly. Defective ammo. Remember later he took the gun from Lizzie, fiddled with it (probably removed the current bullet) and then shot 3 rounds into the ceiling to check that its working. So its just a misfire. It happens.

I think that Tommy's revolver misfired initially (one of the cartridges was a dud) and that gave the soldier enough time to react and fight back. Afterword Tommy shot the rest of the bullets to paint a picture for the cops outside the bathroom that there was a fight in there with the IRA (and also maybe to see if his other bullets would misfire; plus they established that having a loaded gun gets you 20 years in prison if you were caught with one).

Grace didn't tell her husband about her and Tommy. When she was saying, "Was I wrong not to tell him? Was i wrong not to phone him and lie?", she was saying "I didn't call my husband and tell him about the BABY and lie and say it was his. Was I wrong to do that, or is the prospect of being with me and raising this baby appealing?" She was basically asking tommy to tell her that there is a chance for them to be together. So at the time of this episode, Grace's husband does not know about her cheating on him.

I didn't like her either, and I also can't pinpoint why. Maybe it's the fact that she spent the entire first season working against Tommy and then just kind of walked. Or maybe it's the fact that among so many charismatic characters I just find her so uncharismatic. Either way, I remember getting to the end of this season and wishing by some Christmas miracle that May would be end game.

Just the other day some one tried to assassinate the Vice President of Argentina while she was getting out of her car. She was surrounded by press and civilians when some guy ran through the crowd, got to the VP, put the gun right to her face just mere inches away, pulled the trigger...... He knows who he's involved with though, everyone knows what they do. I mean, its definitely not his "fault" if something happened to him, but it also wouldn't be surprising. If I had a chance to live rent free in the house of a mobster's sister, I'd probably just take my chances elsewhere, wherever I could. Shows like this one and Ozark have taught me to RUN if I ever come into contact with serious criminals.

I hate Grace lol, always making problems for Tommy since she first entered the show. The IRA went after Tommy because she killed one of them. Campbell is obsessed with vengeance since Tommy got with Grace. Tommy is busy with a mission that might very well kill him, and she comes in with the "I am pregnant with your baby." Why did she even visit Tommy that night, she said she is happy in New York with a loving, kind, rich husband... but wanted to still hookup with an old flame, jeez.

Was that the most amount of tears we seen from Roshi? The Lizzie and John conversation went so fast so Roshi getting emotional caught me off guard, lol. Definitely fckd that we seen Lizzie be so happy about her typewriting skills and learning shorthand to be a good secretary and finally have a respectable job, thanks to Tommy's help. But then ended up having to become a prostitute again "one last time" because of Tommy.. Tragic.

right about most of it, but just so you know: if the revolver misfired, the misfired cartridges would still be in it, so he would still be carrying a loaded gun. would've been a nice detail if he had dumped the remaining bullets in the toilet or something just in case he got searched, but most people probably wouldn't even catch the reasoning.

If I’ve watched a show and I don’t like it myself, I usually don’t watch them react to it, but if it’s a show that I’ve never seen before, I’ll watch it with them, for example, I watched the first episode of peaky blinder’s with them and i liked it so I went on ahead and watched all of the seasons of it in like a week

Yeah weapons misfire/jam all the time. When it comes to assassinations, its like murphys law. Just last week some venzeualen president almost got shot in the face on camera but the guys gun jammed. And actually revolvers are way less likely to jam/fail than semi automatic handguns.

I dont even understand her. Season 1 was she was a ride or die barwench/secret agent of the crown. And now shes a housewife. WTf happened to her? Why didnt she get in trouble for shooting cambell? Why is she acting like some proper lady when she fell in love with tommy over a murder? She had the potential to be like polly and now shes just gonna be tommys weakness for the rest of the series it seems.

Whats the big deal really? he didnt hire her because she can type. He hired because she can type about his criminal fucked up empire because shes used to that life. And all he wanted was her to distract the dude so he can live. Like he literally would have died without her doing that along with the entire peaky empire crumbling. She wouldve been back on the street within a month anyway.

The prostitution thing was like an addiction to her. Remember when she was about to be set for life by marrying John, but still gave in to the temptation of sleeping with Tommy? It wasn't easy for Lizzie to come so far and work so hard to be a good secretary. Tommy gave her the opportunity by hiring her. Since she is a former prostitute, she would have had a hard time getting a proper job unless she moved far away from where someone might know her. If you are saying that since Tommy helped her, she owes him.. then I would say that Tommy is not a monster or a villain. Lizzie would have been happy to do anything to repay the favor, but prostitution was the worst thing to ask of her, knowing her background/events. The cops coming in the way got her *aped, quite unfortunate, and awful. Tommy "saved" her, but then ended up making her a prostitute again.. quite a fcked up situation no matter what.

I've hated her since the first moment she came on screen, so idk if she had the potential to be a good character, lol. She had a personal vendetta against the IRA since they killed her Dad. She was an amateurish "agent" at best, with how she tried tailing that drunk IRA guy who caught her and she killed him in broad daylight. She even almost got Tommy killed in that bar where 2 IRA agents came and she was just supposed to buy them time until the Cops came.. but she stepped in and immediately shot one of them, then the other guy almost killed Tommy. She did so many shady things right under Tommy's nose and still nobody caught on to the fact that all the problems in Season 1 was due to information they told Grace, which she immediately snitched to Campbell, every time. I hate the fact that Tommy loves her so much. Edit: To answer your questions, she was only working undercover to somehow get revenge on the IRA for killing her Dad, but she said that she got over it after spending time with Tommy (Falling in love with him erased her need for revenge for her father). Campbell loves Grace so he didn't tell the cops that Grace shot him, so she didn't get in trouble. Grace asked Tommy to come with her but that was stupid, why would Tommy leave his family to go with her.. So time passed and I guess she found some rich clown to marry her with her "charms" and her weird singing. Since she married some rich clown, she has the money to spend on needlessly extravagant things and act like a "lady."
