I think Vanitas is definitely a human,but the original owner of the Grimoire( the vampire of the blue moon) was a vampire. That’s just what I think 🤔in the first episode in the beginning, the boy who was said to be vanitas said “ those who take my grimoire in hand shall, like me, have blue eyes instilled into their eyes” so I think the story they was telling us In the beginning is true,that the original vanitas was the way they described him to be in the story. Just the one who is calling himself the name vanitas now, is just now using the grimoire to actually heal vampires instead of killing them with it. Just what I am thinking, he definitely a human though, just like how he got the same eyes from the original vanitas, I think he got some other feat as well, like his nails, think that’s why they look like vampire nails

Vanitas is a regular human but the original Vampire of the Blue Moon did give him a bit of its power. You'll understand in a few episodes

Vanitas is human as stated, but I get the suspicion. Vanitas is a human granted powers and name from the vampire Vanitas as said in episode 1. For a non-spoiler answer about his hands: he's just wearing gloves that have nails imbedded into them, nothing special. Would be cool if they were his arms though.

I knew Vanitas and Noe sounded familiar, they're voice actors are the same as Tanjiro from Demon Slayer and Sakuta from Bunny Girl respectively.

I think the "nails" are just the design of his gloves. You know how anime can be about articles of clothing and tricks on the eyes. Jotaro's hat is a prime example.

Well magi is underrated af or atleast too many people don't know about it but it's also not S-Tier. I'd say A and if I had to categorize it with similar anime I would say it's the same as Bungou stray dogs, Noragami, Blue exorcist, Slime, Tokyo revengers, fire force etc. (tried to name as many shows roshi and the others have seen aswell). I mean in the end personal preference makes up where it stands for you personally but if I had to objectively categorize I would put it there and it is for sure worth a reaction but lets see when it pops up in the poll, maybe next month maybe in a year.

In the manga there was an extra page in the volume with details about the character's outfits, Vanitas gloves have fake nails in them.
