As someone who's read the manga and all of the light novels/web novels, I'll try helping yall out with some missing context from the anime and what a lot of these magical terms mean. "Root" in this show defines as the accumulation of mind, body and soul and is essentially one's personal platonic concept. Magic is born from the Root and there many trees of magic with various spells that Demons, humans, and the other races can use.

I 100% get it.. theres so much HEAT out there, anime/animation/live action etc that you know the crew would be hype over and have mad funny discussions over. that its jarring when u have a shows like this take up 6 weeks.. When the series is done i want ppl to really pay attention to the crews commentary/reactions from This show and others in the same anime comedy genre vs the commentary/reactions to shows like Cobra kai & Castlevania and notice the difference

Let's beat his ass!" *gets clapped* encapsulates every single plot point of this anime and every other show that is an exact duplicate of it. Nah you're misunderstanding, I enjoy anime with OP MCs. They just have to be well done. Slime, Overlord, OPM, are all amazing. Because they break the mold and actually do something original for once. They have those same moments, but that isn't the entire premise of the show. There's actually shit going on in the plot besides "oh how convenient, someone else I can clap in one hit."
