Remember from Kizu, Shinobu wanted to die for Araragi, that's why she doesn't want him to die. If he dies she'll go back to being to a full vampire so it would actually benefit her, but she doesn't want that, she was looking for a place to die in Kizu, she wants to die for Araragi because he saved a monster like her.

In the novel, Araragi likes to call Hanekawa "The Girl With Mismatched Wings". It's still in the anime, but you REALLY have to be paying attention because it's only in that text that flashes on-screen (like at 14:29). It's because her name is "羽川 翼". 羽 and 翼 both translate to "wing", but with very slightly different tones. So Hanekawa has "two wings" of different types (similar to how one side of her justifies her parents hitting her and is prudish about Arararagi looking at her panties, while the other attacks her parents and runs around in her underwear). Two wings aren't going to help anyone fly if the two sides don't match up. It's too clever not to point out.

I wonder what it would take to them to react to Unbalance: Sibling Secret as an April Fools video or something. It's literal hentai directed by the same guy as Monogatari. I put it on once just out of curiosity and I ended up watching the entire first episode. It wasn't even hot. It was just so surreal I couldn't take my eyes off it. That train scene is the most an anime's ever made me go "what the fuck am I watching?"
