I love this anime but the ending of this first season is trash, way worse than most Shounen

it is why prop why the number 1 king goes crazy they use the rankings to keep humans in check by letting themselves kill each other and the strong that could destroy them are killed by the any of the weapons they chose from the treasury.

also ouken and despa lucked out of daida stealing the wish otherwise kimbo would have killed a very mortal ouken at least as it stands they can take their time to find the head or find the demon again

Im very late to this, but I believe it has something to do with the gods, they fear the mortal races becoming strong enough to kill them, so they use the rankings to eliminate them, the "treasury" in reality is more like a pandoras box, anything that comes out of it is either cursed, or its effects are not what they seem to be, its funny how the messanger who comes to evaluate the rankings suspiciously looks like one of the gods during the war where miranjo people were genocided.
