This was one of those "you not figuring this shit out EVER so just enjoy the ride" type episodes lol

Dialdron

I'm not sure if anyone else pointed it out, but they were also playing the same game in the throne room on the 19th. Without speaking, Sora might've basically told her that these are the moves I am going to make. Of course she could've figured it out from just the words he did say, but there is still that possibility.

Godrick

yeah yall brave.. the dub might not be the best but at least you know wtf is goin on XD

mitch anderson

ngl, to this day I still don't get this episode LOOOL

Cesar

Are you guys going to react to the No game no life movie?

Demer'sLemur

I only watched this 46 times to understand what happened

Anonymous

Have you guys seen the doctor strange trailer?

jaahman

This is off topic but it would be cool to see y’all react to the Witcher animated movie and peaky blinders on Netflix at some point.

COZY

Madhouse needs to make a comeback and get the ball rolling again. Need NGNL S2, Overlord S4 and they should pick up SDS or something and give it a reboot.

Grelk

They watched and uploaded the witcher movie before they even started season w

Grelk

overlord s4 is sometimes this year maybe they might actually start pumping shit out again

Big Daddy Dre

I ain’t looked at the reaction yet but didn’t he bet his existence or something 😂

Devin B

It was just a complicated way to get Kurumi to 100% completely trust Sora so that he could use the elf for his strategy

Smash Bran'Discootch

Okay so the reason that Sora lost not only his memories, but his very existence is because, like it said in the beginning, they didn't know which game pieces contained which pieces of him until they were taken by the enemy. So he kept playing the pieces until he knew which ones were the ones that contained her. Once he knew that, he was able to lead his enemy on because she would think "He would NEVER give up his own existence willingly" so when she took those pieces, she didn't realize that he had lead her into a trap where Shiro would ABSOLUTELY be able to win with just the pieces she had left, which she was able to play because one of them was her entire existence. It was an absolute master stroke of BIG BRAIN ENERGY.

Devin B

If Shiro didn't realize what was going on then that game could've went on forever cause they never set a time limit for how long the game can go on or how long it takes for someone to make a move.

Salty MF

its funny seeing you guys got confused and just shut up instead lmao

DevilMayCarter

Appreciated the ReZero callback at the beginning. Speaking of shows you've reacted to...Loki comes to mind with everyone forgetting him too.

Guns

Homegirl kamari saw what kind of shit sora jerked off to and was like, bet, i trust this man 😫☠️☠️

Pablo Gutierrez

i´ve watched this show about 5 times and still dont get this episode

Devin B

True but the ReZero callback was more accurate cause the White Whale actually erases people's existences like what Sora did to himself

Anonymous

This episode wont make sense until the last episode of the season

Don A.

Clapped all throughout the episode hahaha

I think the most of the confusion lies within the game they are playing, since its tied to the whole existence thing. Each piece on the board represents a piece of the players existence. In Othello(GO), the point of the game is to turn the opponents pieces into your pieces (black to white which Shiro did). So Sora maneuvered his pieces in a way where it left those last 3 pieces of his existence which are connected to Shiro. Before Sora played, he said that if any of the players weren't able to continue playing then they're partners can finish the game. Idk, feels like the method of achieving shared memories and getting an elf spy could have been done in an easier way Lmao

Hide1440

Lupa did not sleep enough for this reaction.

Anonymous

You three should watch the show "Vikings"

Thamor

Lupa would never save Roshi in a game. They would be the duo who always loses :D

Jdogzero Silverblade

since steph was affected by the pledges which is basically a global permanent spell from tet elf magic wouldnt do jack to her. since she would have freaked out if sora groped her but not when shiro did.

Skebaba

Fair. But maybe it could have if Kurami had won the game, since then Tet's global AoE Reality Warp spell would have affected the effects of said spell used

IHateBeingAKangaroo

So, basically each piece of the game had a part of himself "attached" to it of increasing importance. His arms, his legs, his memories, his existence, etc. But they weren't labeled, so they didn't really know which was which. But everytime they lost a piece they would lose that thing attached to that piece. Sora set up the game so he would lose his other pieces but not the top 3 ones, making sure he would lose his memories to Kurami but not forget his plan to win the game and his trust that Shiro could follow up the plan (which he knew would be in his top 3 most important things, as per the episode). Shiro couldn't see the board (which i don't really fully understand why, maybe because his existence was erased so the game kind of disappeared for her?). She then had to imagine every play Sora would do in order to set up the game to a point where he would lose the other pieces but at the same time be able to win with only those 3 last pieces. And she did exactly that, managing to win the game even without really seeing the board. At least that's what i got from it, didn't read anything on it to confirm that i understood it completely right tho.

Lrygdish

Remember him saying that the piece's importance is assigned to them by your subconscious? Then, the stone with number 1 was basically Shiro's existence. That means Shiro's existence was the most important thing to him subconsciously, above even things like his memories and his own existence. :D Also kinda important to understand the game they played, and why Shiro was able to finish the game and win using that knowledge :D

Matthew Osteen

That was the most quiet reaction I've seen in a while lol. Yall were clapped watching that.

LiquidXGravity

Was a boring episode that's why they were quiet lol 🤣🤣

WarWolf

now i want a story time of how y'all met

Don Keedick

Hinamatsuri for next group reaction please. If you're not laughing your gonna get hit with the feels. It's a GOAT.

eles

go youtube, they have made videos of that!

David Emerson

Just so you guys know exactly how big brain this was. Shiro had to reconstruct every single move Sora would do UP to the point of having those last 3 pieces without seeing any of the other pieces AND the board. One wrong move and she wouldn't have been able to win.

Tijay Carroll

notice how she said "reunited with her mother" so that says they def share same mom

WeavyBoo

Shiro had to reconstruct every move Sora would do* Sorry to be annoying but just adding this to avoid potential confusion

GoldenBoy

I think the biggest clue Sora left for Shiro was "Blank never loses" literally meaning even without me around we're still Blank and must win at all cost I don't think he could of directly told Shiro why he was going to disappear but instead leave it to her to figure out since they're essentially one

Jose silva

The reason a lot of us dint get the clues as well as we should have is because we dont know how this game works

Stellarnut

I feel like nobody truly trust another person 100% without any doubt completely, this game was to not only convince kurami to play the game in the first place so they could obtain the elf which is the last piece they need to defeat the eastern federation but it was to make sure kurami did infact trust them 100% because youre basically gaining complete unfiltered access to a persons entire life so you would know and understand them completely meaning 100% trust which is otherwise impossible to gain from another person.

baja

They are just playing a board game, thats it. All the other "bullshit" was just to let kurami dig into his brain so that she can trust sora. He used game pledges as a sure contract to show that what she is seeing inside him is true and not magically falsified. Sora, let alone her sister will never lose in a board game So sora just set up the game, so that kurami see 99% of sora. 1% percent left was just, shiro, the game and how to win it. I guess there is only a few scenarios where both players would be left with 3 pieces and still win, and she narrowed it with what she remembers from the game

GrimmBones

Little addition: In case you didn't notice, Kurami said "You want us to spy for you, right?", Fil said "Spy? What does that mean?", cause, since Kurami has Sora's memories, she knows the word "Spy", which is an English word, and isn't a word in Imanity's speech, and she said "I'll tell you later." Just in case you missed it.

Enkyri

I'm a week behind for the mind fuck episode, but yea lol. Definitely a difficult one to figure out.

Diego Zenhäusern

Wow, my brain was just blown😮! I've seen this series like 20 time but I never noticed this particular detail!😅
