Kintsugi is a form of Japanese art where broken pottery is repaired using gold to mend the gaps where it broke, it signifies that even if something breaks and won't ever be the same again you can still mend the damage and the streaks of gold act as precious scars to show that even if something breaks it still has a use and the damage it went through in the past can be a beauty in the future. I feel that this art form is shown in this episode to relate to Taiga's history with her family, to be frank its a completely broken relationship and it seems like whenever there's an opportunity for it to be repaired it just ends up breaking again. It's just a sort of small connection but I do feel like its done on purpose, and I really like how its portrayed here with Minori and Ryuji repairing Taiga's star.

Thank you Roshi! I’ve been waiting for y’all to get to the Minorin issue. This bitch is annoying and stays annoying until the end, there’s like no logical reason for her actions or weird explanations. They try to explain it later and try to compensate her dumbass methods with her being nice but that’s just a bunch of bs and a cop out. Also I agree that Christmas tree had no structural integrity whatsoever lol. The star falling I could understand but that wire frame look like it was made of steel and came to pieces lmao. Another thing is that teacher may be around the same age as y’all but you guys are married already. She’s single and hopelessly falling apart 😂

I love the further hints that Ami is interested in Ryuuji, simply because of what it says about her. She's got the attention of everyone in the school, and all of them practically worship her. She enjoys that; she likes it when they all praise her for being so "mature" and "grown-up". And yet, all the same, she knows it's not real. And Ryuuji has seen the bitchy side of her personality; he knows how waspish she can be. And yet, he never really holds that against her. He doesn't put her on a pedestal, and while he's generally not rude, he's also willing to call her out when she's being a bitch. Like I said a few episodes ago, she's surround by people praising how much of an "adult" she is, and yet her thoughts are stuck on the one who scolded her for being childish and not taking care of herself properly, and then gave her advice on how to do just that. I just find that amusing.

I dont see how anyone can go on calling kushieda a bitch first off she never liked anyone before that convo about the ufos and shit was meaning to say "I don't know about love I've never experienced those feelings before" it wasn't her friend zoning ryuji the way she acts all through out is her discovering a new emotion but becoming conflicted about it because she thinks her best friend likes the same guy she likes, and because she's nice she does everything she thinks she has to to step aside but everytime her feelings bubble up she does something dumb, why, because she's a fucking kid y'all, and she's not like some of y'all hoe ass jits she really never experienced emotions like love before so cut the girl some slack and stop viewing it through your own hindsight knowledge.

People on this Patreon seem to have a weird hatred for her. It's exactly how you said, it's a best friend who realizes she has feelings but doesn't act on them because she doesn't want to hurt her best friend who she believes is in love with the same person. Not hard to understand.

Nah I never really thought her character was that great to begin with. Yeah she has a bubbly personality and what not but when I imagine being around someone like that I just feel that they're too high maintenance. I think Takasu fell for her because she's like the sun to his moon but I don't see them as a good couple. Ami acts stuck up but her character is easier to digest than Minorin's.

Ami's agency wouldn't be as effective without Minorin spearheading it, but yeah her character is difficult to want to root for. Minami from Baka and Test (similar sounding name ironically) is a better version of her character archtype for example.

If you think about it, Ryuuji plays caretaker to his mom, to Taiga, to Kitamura (especially the last few episodes) always seeing things past himself. Can't blame Ami for wanting someone who can do that and see past herself in the process.

Ami's speech was commentary about how Ryuuji sees his relationship with Minorin and Taiga. He and Minorin are the parents looking over their daughter, Taiga, when he should be looking at both of them as individual women, either as a romantic interest or a friend. The reason Minorin is avoiding them both is because of what Ami said about her feeling guilty about taking Ryuuji away from Taiga. She's began to realize her feelings and wants to avoid hurting her best friend, hence the dialogue between her and Ryuuji while fixing the star. The trio's relationship is starting to crack and break and she's terrified about it not being the same after everything is said and done.

Actually it is hard to understand which is why it’s annoying. If she’d just talk like a normal person and use her fucking words she wouldn’t get so much hate. Being nice and stepping out the way is one thing but if literally NO ONE INCLUDING THE VIEWERS can decipher her intent then being all cryptic is meaningless. Stop boosting up this trash character just because you’ve seen the show and understand her endgame. I’ve seen the show years ago and it’s still hot fucking garbage how she goes about things. Also @Javier it’s not viewing it through hindsight knowledge when we’re more than halfway through the show and based on what’s she’s done so far absolutely NO ONE knows what she’s thinking. Her being a kid has nothing to do with it. Kitamura is a perfect example, he went about shit in the wrong way for his confession but once he broke things down for Ryuuji you can understand. You talk to Minorin straight up and all you get is silence or riddles or one line statements that don’t directly correlate to the events transpiring. What makes her unlikeable to us or at least to me is that she’s terrible at communicating. You only feel the way you feel because I bet you’ve seen the show and know her ending and sympathize. But if you have no prior knowledge of that then Minorin is an impossible mystery that’s not worth the time. Sorry for the rant

I'm referring to people in this comment section who are hating even with the knowledge of how she is and a lot of what I stated has nothing to do with the resolution of her story its really plainly shown how these characters feel if you really listen to what they say instead of taking everything at face value, my comment is for the people who saw the show and are in these comments bashing the character, she's not a mystery you just can't take what she says as literal but I'm not referencing roshi and his comments I don't get how you can hate her what I mean by hindsight knowledge is viewers going through relationships irl and saying oh why isn't she just saying things straight up when the character is clearly a young girl who never even experienced love and literally panics when she starts feeling emotional and instead try to play it off by being funny or quirky.

Fr I don't get the hate for minorin on patreon honestly its admirable that she'd sacrifice her own feelings for her friend knowing that her friend needs the affection more. Minorin has always been resilient and able to look after herself well but taiga always needed someone to support her. Minorin knows and puts her feelings on hold becuase she knows she doesn't need a ryuuji in her life it'd just be a luxury whereas taiga needs him

Oh I see. Sorry if it seems I came off hostile as well. But I still disagree that she’s not a mystery, she very much so is. Like you stated you can tell what the other characters are feeling by listening paying attention but Minorin and her bad metaphors are incredibly hard to interpret. I think a better way for me to say it is, you can see when she’s sad or upset but when speaking to her you have to be Sherlock to figure out the actual problem. Her communication skills are astonishingly bad. It is not easy or normal to be able to figure out she’s discovering her feelings through that original convo she had with Ryuuji at the vacation house. And she’s the only character with this problem. All the others do the typical anime thing of giving roundabout answers when they’re embarrassed or don’t want to be straight but you can get it with a little thinking and patience. Minorin doesn’t have to be straight up but her method of speaking is not what I would call effective. I mean for god sake her best friend Taiga doesn’t even know what she’s talking about half the time. Maybe it’s easy for you to get but regular people don’t have time for the weird games she’s playing

I guess your right I read into it more when I first saw the show honestly I watch a ton of slice of life and rom-com so I understand the quirky archetype, I can see why its easy to misinterpret it but I don't think anyone should call her a bitch she's not even being malicious, she's not really hurting anyone but herself either, and ryuji is starting at this point to understand so why go off saying she's a bitch. I'm not trying to argue with anyone over a fictional person just don't think she deserves the hate.
