Listen I love the show and I’ve read the manga, most of it at least. (Chapter 197 is what I’m on) So I can say this without remorse, takemitchi one of the least aware people on earth man. Do not give this man any credit for this season, besides going back to the past and just being in the way he has done NOTHING. Sure he’s inspired people with his attitude, but in terms of PHYSICALLY doing something tangible he’s done so little. Sure it’ll be get better later on but I can’t blame anyone who doesn’t like takemitchi at this point. He’s so naive, anything that happens he just accepts at face value… he’s incapable of any analytical thought

Yeah. It happened before when he went back and met Akkun at the hair salon in ep 11 or 12. He didn't have Naoto's number then either. Which is why when he got a call from him, he was like "whose number is this?"

It's crazy how well this anime did without the best fighting animation. Just goes to show that if a story carries weight and is enjoyable people will flock to read/watch a series. Manga sales skyrocketed making it a top-seller this year, we're most def getting a S2.

All in all, I think they did a great job adapting the manga content wise, even if the animation was sub-par...all I can hope is that they up the budget for season 2. It really only gets better from here

I feel like its easy to say Takamitchi is a dumbass for not saying anything about Kisaki but lets be real. What the hell is he going to say? He can't say anything about the future. He'll just look crazy. He can't say Baji told him Kisaki is bad, because they'll probably retort, "Well, he helped Mikey at the Bloody Halloween battle!" or "Baji was talking nonsense due to blood lost" That and the last time he did something to Kisaki he almost got jumped by the other commanders. So he probably won't do that again. Since this time he is in the gang and that would probably have dire consequences. One last thing, I believe the deal was, Takamitchi brings back Baji before the fight happens. Since he didn't, that made the deal fell under. So Kisaki stays. Anyways, my theory is that Kisaki is a time traveler but he lost his powers after gaining what he wanted (To be in charge of Toman).

Solely going off of just watching the anime. Seeing as chifuyu is takemitchy number 2. To me it was strange that chifuyu's last words would be to tell takemitchy what's happened in the last 12 years as if he wouldn't already know. My theory. At one point takemitchy trusted chifuyu enough to tell him about his powers. Which could mean that chifuyu most likely became the middle man between naoto and takemitchy. Which could be why takemitchy didn't have naoto's number. Also seeing as chifuyu did his best to make sure he took the blame as the judas and telling takemitchy that toman was still the same deep down even after the messed up stuff they've done. As well as calling takemitchy his partner was like a sign to me that maybe more was going on that he couldn't say before he died.

Doesn't seem like you guys understood why he couldn't just tell Mikey Kisaki is behind it. It isn't too complicated; he has no proof. Thanks to the punch when Kisaki joined, all of Toman knows he doesn't like Kisaki, and Mikey knows he wants to get him out of the gang. The only proof he has is his word, the word of an enemy, and Chifumi's word, which while it is more reliable, isn't nearly enough to kick him out after the gang saw him "save" Mikey and triple their numbers. Mikey aready said he doesn't like Kisaki, but he's useful, which leads to the deal he made with Takemitchy, Something like "If you can prove you're more useful than him, I'll kick him out." He was told to prove this by bringing Baji back before the fight, which he didn't. There isn't any "technically", he just failed.

Remember last time Takemichi got back in the future it was Naoto who called him and he didn't recognize him at first so he didn't have his number at all. After all in this timeline they have no reason to meet.

WTF?????? I was expecting some crazy cliff hanger, but this was waaaaaay worse than I thought. My poor boy Chifuyu... I'm definitely jumping into the manga right now (I've also been already spoiled of another future death, so yeah, there's no way for me to wait for season 2 and go blindly into it now). Also, WHERE is Mikey??? Isn't it super shady how in every single future we haven't seen him yet? We've only seen that one photo of him when Hina first died. And then nothing. I feel like Kisaki definitely knows of Takemitchy's power, because he keeps messing with him whenever he comes back to the future (first killing Hina again, and now killing Chifuyu). Also, the "my hero" line, it's like his friend always calling him "crybaby hero". Something's going on here. And poor Draken just seems fated to die, he's one of my faves and he just can't catch a break... *sigh*

Cool thing I peeped during the season, when Kisaki first passed by Takemitchi in the early episodes he had a shaved head, later when he is showed in toman his hairdo is very similar to takemitchi's hair.

The dumbest thing in tokyo revengers is that young Takamichi seems to actually do shit when he goes back to the future. Like young Takamichi wakes up and is like shit I blacked out for 2 weeks and now I'm 1st division captain, I'll just coast off that for the next 12 years. The reason Kisaki keeps coming out on top is cause he never stops scheming. When future Takamichi stops a scheme and checks on the future Kisaki just comes up with another one and young Takamichi doesn't do shit about it. Makes for great entertainment though lol
