Considering most of the entire area seems to be desert, most likely you'd die of dehydration real quick before you could even find a single water source. Likewise it's already been explored that food isn't easy to come by even if you've got a whole ass mech to increase travel time and reduce fatigue. Basic rule of survival is that if you've got a stable food and water source, you should do your best to stay with it and sustainably utilize it, which is what that village is all about. I can't see anyone ever getting bored playing Fallout, but I can see someone getting depressed and feeling put off by it. The environment is just so dreary, but part of the enjoyment is working to make that world a bit better. Well...I suppose you can make it worst too if that's your style. However, as lifeless as that world is, the people that inhabit that world are anything but lifeless.

@Viela exactly cause if you don't have a mech of your own or a means of travel you're pretty much done for, which is why I didn't completely disagree with the way the priest was running things cause there's only so much to go around.

Yh i get bored playing Fallout. Its a game made by bethesda meaning the animations in dialogue are basically dead. And there arent any cutscenes where I can see something cool or interesting. I get bored of all their games except evil within because its concept and story is crazy good and the gameplay is intense and fun whereas fallout is just a normal bethesda game set in a different world

He gets a lot of hate but its reasonable even if cruel, if the people learned the Beastmen up there want them dead and that they're essentially alone and oppressed in the world, it'd understandably lead to chaos. A belief system is necessary. Regarding the sending adults up there part, children are more likely to die than adults as it was said, so having the majority become children means they'd essentially drive themselves to extinction/near-extinction.
