The thing you guys missed was how back in the pre meeting Rimuru said he would send fake information everywhere saying how Veldora awakened and took out the kingdom of Falmuth's army. He did this as a play so Clayman would think Rimuru was weak and just borrowed Veldora's authority(which worked). The only reason Rimuru told Veldora to stay was to protect their city while everyone was away in case of attack, not to "hide" him

By the way guys the reason rimuru and veldora along with many others hold in their aura is because they are so strong that it is lethal to weaker being and humans. The demon lord haki/aura that rimuru showed doing the talks with Elaude was a small part of his full aura

I think it is best to keep in mind how strong Rimuru is compared to other True Demon Lords. Currently, he would be stronger than Clayman, Carrion and Frey. However, it should be noted that the other True Demon Lords would be as strong, if not even stronger than Rimuru at this point with abilities just as, if not even more broken than his. He is also still no match for characters like Guy or Milim who are among the strongest in the series. Basically, Rimuru has at last reach a point where he is among many people who can be considered his equals or superiors.

Rimuru and Veldora are indeed strong yes, but dont overestimate them, remember when Milim and Rimuru first met, it was said that Milim was 10x stronger than Rimuru and that was just her standing there supressing her powers. And don't underestimate Guy Crimson he is as strong as, if not stronger than Milim.

Veldora containing his aura is a BIG deal. They rushed through it in the anime but in the light novel it took 3 full days, during which Rimuru was looking through his new skills. the Eurazanians wanted to storm the cave thinking Rimuru was in trouble since they could sense Veldora's aura but Diablo and Benimaru stopped them since Rimuru explicitly told them not to follow him. They were still arguing when Rimuru left the cave with Veldora (Dunno why they skipped this, it was pretty funny and meaningful but i guess they couldn't wait to get to the Gazebo) This is the first time Veldora ever got a human body and control over his aura, mostly because he didn't see the need to contain it before (he rampaged constantly and threw his aura everywhere) so everyone, even his OWN SISTER, thinking that he's weak rather then just hiding his aura is pretty justified

It's not that Rimuru wants people to think Veldora is weak. Rimuru had Veldora suppress his aura because True Dragon's, like Veldora, are so strong that their aura can kill weaker people and monsters. Rimuru has a town full of people and it would be a risk to some of them to be around an unrestrained (aura wise) Veldora. BTW the True Dragon's aren't really related. They just call each other brother and sister. There is no shared blood since they are just magic with physical form and minds.

To put into at least some perspective how powerful Guy is, all those demons in that audience chamber were arch demons and the two maids were demon peers which is what Diablo is, although he is still stronger. And if ANYONE besides Leon spoke or acted when they weren't supposed to, Guy would kill them in an instant.

Though, it wouldn't surprise me if big sis was right and Veldora is actually a bit on the weak side now. But, he's not nearly as weak as big sis thinks due to suppressing his powers. I could have sworn it said in the first couple episodes that the seal had been feeding off his energy and severely weakening him. It will likely take him time to recover all that energy, but when he does, he'll be even more powerful than before. But for now, I think it may be fair to think that Veldora is still recovering his power.
