obito6ix

Kurumi

the ep that made Kirei goated and the fight thats in every compilation lmao

Stevetheiguana

I do wish the Kirei vs Kiritsugu fight was a bit longer, but man was it good

Blue Minotaur1212

Command spells boost the attacks of the spirit which was the reason kiritsugu used both. Not to mention he has no further use for them

JsnSkg

The "Holy" Grail my fucking ass..... that piece of shit put Kiritsugu through more shit he never should have had to go through. Man sacrificed a LOT, including some of his own humanity, to get to this point, only for the Grail to actually be full of shit and a complete asshole.

itshusain_

Guys you will understand exactly how the grail works in the future shows.

JsnSkg

But yeah, this episode was pretty jawdropping in many ways.

Francisco Rodriguez

Bruh I never knew the name for taking up all the sin of the world until this time lol

Jalen Perry

Y’all gotta watch Fate UBW and Grand Order Babylonia next

auxag

Nah It UBW and the Heavens Feel. Babylonia would be great though.

Antonio Williams

I actually forgot how short the Kirei/Emiya fight was since so much happens in it. Also should we explain the Angra Mainyu thing or just wait?

Devin B

It's crazy how Kiristugu did the things he did because he felt that he had no other choice for the sake of the majority only to find out that the way to make his wish come true is if it was based on his methods. So either way the minority was going to be fucked.

Oui Oui

His father gave him the command spells

Jolu

Two things to point. First is that Kirei used only two command spells in that fight, he is actually that fast and his clothes are made from kevlar thats why the bullets dont pierce him. Second is that Saber does not want to obey so she is resisting the command spell and since she has Magic Resistence A Kerry had no choice but to use the second command spell to force her to obey. Also I think these are the stats of the servants from the novel https://i.imgur.com/AblmO.jpg

Would u be able to explain it to me never really understood how angra mainyu has a part and who he is

Antonio Williams

Without spoiling too much of Heavens Feel, Angra Mainyu was a servant in the third holy grail war, the one before this one. He was an irregular servant, the Avenger class but I forget which servant class he technically replaced. But, he was a person tortured in life by his tribe and basically forced to take on all the sins and evils the could think of in an attempt to stop disasters that were occurring in their land. Because all servants go into the grail upon their defeat to actually create the true holy grail, AM went into the grail and because his being somehow represented the wishes of his tribe/humanity as a whole for him to represent all evils in the world's (which was really his tribe/humanity's desperation to have an identifiable source of evil and suffering). And basically because the grail essential sought to fulfill humanity's wish that is saw in AM, AM was able to become a true source of evil and corrupted the grail which is why everything went wrong. Kiritsugu met AM, not the actual holy grail in this episode. There's more to it, but this is a poor attempt at explaining why this grail is corrupted, why it chose kiritsugu as the Victor (because he was basically someone who said he'd take on the world's evils so AM tried to use kiritsugu to inadvertently wish AM into being rebirthed), and why everything in the final episode occurs regarding Kirei and Gilgamesh.

Yeah that's definitely the weakest part of Zero if you watch it first because all the angra mainyu stuff is there from expecting you to have knowledge from the main series and is never explained in the show

Skebaba

Good. Stay Night is fucking cringe, almost made me drop entire Fate franchise as it was the first Fate series I had the misfortune of watching after googling Fate

Alex Omega

Hopefully, we get to see them react to my favorite series Fate Stay Night

Reign

Also this grail is corrupted because Lancer cursed it. Its what leads to all the problems in the main series. AM is also a problem but what kinda bubbled it to the surface here was actually lancer and how kiritsugu handled the war.

Reign

thats not the real grail thats why. Its corrupted. Read the lore.

Reign

The AM stuff is more complicated than that but yeah. Essentially all you need to know is this isn't the real hoily grail and its corrupted and its what leads to all the problems in the main series and 3 paths. Heavens feel focuses more on it tho. Its also partly Lancers fault for cursing the grail as well.

Eirei_Emiya

Hahaha No. I dont know why people believe Lancer cursed the Grail. He was just being a baby ranting. The Grail was cursed back in the 3rd war by Angra Mainyu and it surfaces alone, it has nothing to do with external interference.

Eirei_Emiya

Doesnt matter though. Even a non-corrupted grail is just a swirl of energy and Kiritsugu would need to have a method to make his wish come true. What the Grail showed him was literally the methrod Kiritsugu would employ to make his wish come true regardless of the Grail being corrupted or not.

Eirei_Emiya

Then again, it is really childish of Kiritsugu to believe in something as suspicious as a Grail that grants wishes. Well, he is a man-child, but he still should have known things are never easy, although he always took the easy way out so i guess it fits in the end. Hell, Shirou doest believe the Grail crap from the get go and he is younger and less experienced than Kiritsugu.

None None

Angra Mainyu is nothing. It can't even really make decisions on its own, just sit around waiting for someone to ask it to do something. Lancer getting absorbed while screaming about wanting the grail to become an object of ruin gave AM a set of instructions to work with. So his goal shifted from "sit around in the grail passively tainting it until someone asks me to do something else" to "grant a wish that causes disaster", because it heard Lancer wish for that. Then it copied Irisviel's personality once she was absorbed and her wish was for Kiritsugu to make his wish on the grail, so AM realized that making Kiritsugu wish for killing everyone would fulfill all of his tasks at once.

Zeta

Grail was cursed lonfg before Zero in the 3rd grail war

baja

Sp basically AM is a weapon waiting for someone to use it? He became another omnipotent wish granting onject like the holy grail but in a fcked way?

Krispin

Your haircut looked great Roshi

BZD

Nah. Lancer’s little curse didn’t actually do anything. It’s just a funny coincidence that things turned out like he said. The grail would have done this or something equally terrible in the third war if someone had actually won.

Arknightoni

And exactly how was Lancer being a baby? He was one of the realest servants. Of course he would be pissed that his battle with Saber was tainted and the mf was forced to kill himself. If anything I'm passed for him. The show was basically making you think that there was going to be an epic battle between the 2 but it ended in a shitty way

Guns

You’re the kind of idiot that even after hours of explanation, would still not know whats going on

Rot

Just so people don't go here disrespecting Lancer: Its true he didn't curse it, but it was a foreshadowing to Angra Mainyu having cursed it before. Its understandable why people would see it as Lancer having been the one to curse it, especially with the change in eyes Lancer had at the end that made him look like a demon, his dematerialization being different than it usually is for a servant's, it was really neat to see.
