I'm excited for the next one because I watched the show as it was airing, so I've only seen the TV version. I know the streaming/Blu-ray version has an extra 5 minutes of scenes that had to be cut for time.

because people voted for chronological order, but one can argue that zero is meant to be watched after ubw, it's also kinda harder for a fresh viewer to get into, with all the names and exposition, ubw has way more gradual introduction

I personally like the Servant rosters of Apocrypha & Babylonia the most, tbh. Babylonia is peak Fate IMO, as expected of a Fate series meant for HC fans, given it was entirely funded from the shekelinos whales kept on putting into Fate/Grand Order

cuz animation makes things much nicer to look at. and credits to ufotable for making that so. look at demon slayer. mediocre story,characters and manga but when adapted, it became huge. fate stay night while had a great story lacked severely in animation. if the gap wasnt so huge it wouldnt made much a difference but ufotable just did such a good job on the animation that it became far too clear. its not even about comparing it to the pitiful animation of hte og deen FSN. ufotable animation pretty much lays majority of the other studios into the dust. not that others are so much behind but all their work are simply marvelous to look at. yes story is important (my favorite shows such as code geass, death note, etc dont require great animation to be legends) but when a show has animation such as this, its hard not to compare and admire. your claim on "majority of the og fanbase" doesnt hold up because the fate series didnt get as much recognition until fate zero came out and then ubw. the fanbase for the og anime/game was nothing compared to what it is today. its the harsh truth but legendary animation dont need the best story to become popular. which is why i petition a remake of the og series with this god tier animation and then we will have something epic.

yea thats not why lol.. the "story" itself is incredibly simple..what brought people to the VN was its unique use of mixing fantasy and history into its characters. The story aspect has never been big..its characters and hentai aspect are to thank for its success. It may not appeal to americans but in japan its a pretty common practice to add these scenes to boost sales/popularity.

The hentai was largely just a marketing gimmick that was so unnecessary that it got removed from most later ports. But yeah, the original VN was carried entirely by the characters. One of the worst parts about the adaptions is that the main character is pretty introverted, so most of the insight into his character was through his hours upon hours of internal monologue. That's really hard to adapt into other mediums. He was a fascinating character in the VN, but not so much any of the adaptions.

What are these morons saying? The whole point of the Fate Franchise is its massive scope and world building. If you cant even understand that each storyline is happening at the same time and they are all interconnected for reasons involving the even bigger over arching narrative maybe this aint the franchise for you. People love this shit for the nods to real history and how it connects real history with the natsu verse as a whole which is multiple differnet franchises sharing a common universe. That shit hasnt been done since CLAMP died off which is why people get into it in the first place. Also he's not wrong about most this patreon having 0 taste and just wanting braindead fight animations half the garbage that gets recommended is that. Not to mention the constant whining in comments to watch something else when they in middle of a show because exposition is happening lmfao.
