I always find it funny that Lancer says that the only reason Kiritsugu didn't die then was because Saber showed honor, but Kiritsugu only got in danger because Saber let him go in the first place. Had she stopped/stalled him, Kiritsugu would've killed El Melloi and that'd be it for Lancer too. So actually Saber's honor is what fucked it up

She even knew that Kiritsugu was the reason for Kayneth being in danger but instead of protecting her own master she let Lancer go off the protect his master from hers. Luckily Lancer had pride but anyone else would've gone after Koritsugu.

Also I doubt lancer could even kill kiritsugu between his reality marble and the fact his origin bullet would also work on lancer he could probably actually clap him. Kirei and Kiritsugu could clap most lesser heroic spirits themselves.Diamuird is not a specifically powerful servant tbh even with the cheap Mana boost he was getting his stats are below average and even assassin could kill him.

Origin Bullets only work when the enemy is actively using their magic circuits. They wouldn't do a damn thing against Diamuird just running up and stabbing you. And Kiritsugu was already at his limit for using his time magic. He had absolutely no way to stop Diamuird from killing him.
