SO... the ending in the manga is basically the same (they took a different route getting there) but it took 150 chapters to get there and had some really amazing arcs. So it's definitely worth the read! The goldy pond arc is one of the best manga arcs ever in my opinion. I hope we get a Roshi/Lupa/Sheera review (whoever reads it). This was such a disappointing adaptation but thank you for reacting to it!

Lol wow, so what was the point of deviating from the manga if the ending was still gonna be the same? XD I enjoyed most of it despite all its flaws, but I'm just curious af about what exactly was going behind the scenes, and what was going through the mangaka's mind. Cloverworks definitely did not have their best ppl on this one.... all their effort went into Wonder Egg Priority.

The worst part is that they didn't even really need the slideshow of shit from the manga. They literally could have just had the montage of the kids in New York, then meeting them after coming back. They're back, so you know they fixed shit. You don't need to know there was a floating demon involved.

It seemed like it was following the manga then just weirdly rejected them midway. 1.We still do not know why the markings in the shelter were there. 2. There was no reason to make that demon look suspicious saying that he wont hunt the children but their descendants. 3. Random Queen that did nothing etc. Edit: Damn Sheera read my min 21:30

They just glossed over a bunch of shit that would have been a serious challenge for them to accomplish and boom, THE END?! How? How was escaping from a damn house and one lady more exciting and drama filled than escaping a whole land filled with monsters. How did they fuck this up?

I'm not a manga reader at all, for any series. But even I can see that this season was botched. And this episode, the finale, was a clown show. Did the production studio just happen to run out of money at this episode? I'm aware of the gossip that the author of the manga was SUPPOSEDLY brought on for this season and SUPPOSEDLY gave all this their blessing. The thing is, I wonder if that is all just bs. I cannot comprehend how the original author would see season 2 as acceptable.

I explained it in a longwinded reply to someone earlier, but tl;dr it's costly to get an anime funded after the manga ends for various reasons. Chances are they snagged the rights to season 2 cheap just as the manga was ending and knew they wouldn't be able to afford season 3. Hence the montage.

I was gonna give this season a B- (season one was was an A) until I saw that damn slideshow of all the shit they skipped. That was highkey disrespectful lol they should have just faded to white or some narrator.... i read the goldy pond arc and stopped once i noticed s2 was going in a different direction so maybe i'll go back to reading

S2 proved to be the most disrespectful adaption of a series ive ever seen. Like they didnt have an excuse of the manga wasnt finished yet, this fully on them. And what makes it worse, when epi 10 aired NO ONE on the writing staff wanted any credit to this. That's when you know they truly fucked up. Throw the whole season away. and RIP to the 8+ characters that were never put in this season (my boy Yugo aint even in here im still pissed about that)

didnt even watch S2 of TPN.... sad way to go out. I usually never drop shows in general, but I heard too much shit this season, so manga way is the best way for TPN.

I was big disappointed by their decision to montage season three into the ending credits. I could tell there was just enough left for a 12 episode arc. Especially if there was a whole war that went down. War Arcs are the best in anime. I was also curious about that MujikaxEmma thing. It seemed to strongly be hinting at some interspecies shenanigans. I was like, ..... Ok....?

So season 1 was amazing they skipped a ton of chapters for season 2 and we got a speed run of season 3 to end it, this show went down hill hard after season 1.

Mannn now that season 2 is over I can finally give a honest review. I hold back but now I can say I am disappointed on that fact they just skipped over certain arcs and then gave us a powerpoint slide presentation to end it all. I am going to assume that it wasn't greenlited for more seasons so they had to cut out all the arcs. That is the only explanation I can think of to explain this disappointing season. It is a shame but i guess it is what it is T_T 😢

It's weird to leave a comment on a reaction video from nearly a year ago, but I just got to this episode two days ago and decided to read the manga. So hear me out, you guys should really read the manga, it's great and wholesome. You might have doubt because this season is horrible, but the reason is that this season messed up the storyline. That powerpoint presentation? yeah it's like three arcs compressed in there so of course it's confusing like hell. Also don't expect any redemption from another season, because the events in the this season are supposed to happen at the very end of the manga, they rushed and skipped the stories and what we got is a jumbled mess. Season 1 is exceptional because they made the episodes strictly based on the manga so we got a solid first season. And if you guys still have the love for the story from season 1 and curious to see how it actually plays out, read the manga from chapter 38 (ep 12 of ss1 is chapter 37).
