The guy in the cave monitoring the mission was Mal Duncan, he was the guy wearing the blue superman shirt when Superboy and Miss Martian went to school in season one. His girlfriend from the same episode is Bumblebee. Dont worry about knowing too much Lupa its good to have someone who has a bit of background info from the comics for this show as they usually dont explain who the side super heroes and side villains are.

Adam Strange is another character with the last name Strange who came out before Dr. Strange. Adam was introduced in 1958. Hugo Strange was introduced in 1940. Dr. Strange came out in 1963.

It's really fun to watch their reaction to Young Justice with the differing levels of DC knowledge. With Sheera being a newbie, Roshi being an amateur, and Lupa knowing more than the other two, but still discovering new characters, it will interesting to watch Sheera and Roshi learn about the "new to them" characters and situations for the first time. And to see how well Lupa gets refreshed in the DC lore since there is a lot. I hope they learn to love Blue Beetle and this version of Beast Boy and Tim Drake and others to come as much as I did in this season. I also hope we patrons give them time to adjust to all the information that is being thrown at them. Remember, there was a time when we didn't know who these characters were and had to go through the growing pains of learning who everyone was through the comics, live-action movies, or other animated series and movies. It will be the same for them. I don't envy them having to remember all this DC lore on top of all the other shows they watch. I know that I couldn't remember every character and plot point for everything I watch, listen to, or read. So, to me, it wouldn't be fair to expect that level of detail retention from them either. I am still just excited as hell with the fact that they are continuing this show in the first place and hoping they will move onto Harley Quinn: TAS after.)
