Not gonna lie I was already getting fed up with this series with shit like megan constantly being annoying and the series constantly relying on the easy way out plot device where that helmet kept getting pulled back out and people used it and conveniently the other two times they didn't have any repercussions at all because the plot decided it and it felt like a whole asspull and lazy writing.

Greg Weisman who created the Young Justice show, previously worked on a show called Spectacular Spider-Man. The Spider-Man like character on this show is kind of a nod to that. He even got the same voice actor who played Spidey in that show to voice the character in this show. It's not that they stole the character or anything it's just a little fun reference they put in there.

I understand what you are saying, but I hope you won't give up on this series. I have seen the entire show and without revealing anything, I can mention that the last two episodes of season 1 have events that will have lasting consequences for the entire run of the show. They should react to those two episodes next week. This season to me is the season where we get to know this show's version of the characters, since they don't follow the comics closely, while giving us snippets of the overall story before season 2. Those snippets lead up to the season 1 last two episodes, which create a domino effect in season 2.
