I know it's a popular theory that Armin likes Annie because of Bertholdt's memories, but I recently rewatched Season 1 and I think even then they had a bit of a rapport. During the Stohess arc I don't know why, but I kind of got the sense that Annie cared about Armin a little bit more than most of the others, to say the least.

I mean, it's difficult. Either 1) you try not to repeat history, but in trying to take a more pacifist route, you get annihilated because all the nations adamantly hate you for shit your ancestors did a long time ago, or 2) you fight to survive, which results in a lot of bloodshed. There's no right or wrong answer here. Also it's an anime, sooooo, I'm all in favor for the survival of the characters we've been following for three seasons, rather than characters I don't even know whom we just met this season.

Man, Pyxis had that bomb planted and is working with Eren. I'm callin' it. He always did have a soft spot for Eren. Plus, Zachary was a sick bastard and Pyxis knew it. I don't think it was an accident that they chose to hide the bomb in one of his torture devices. Poetic justice. With world war on the horizon and no escape to speak of, Pyxis must be all about the only hope they got -- use the Rumbling to fuck the world's shit up.

I won't say its invalid but considering the fact that he was involved, then he wouldn't have incriminated the scouts by snitching on who planted the bomb. Armin this whole season has been about compliance and non-violence, he would never be involved in the bombing of a superior just for a risk or disagreement.

eren launching his attack on the world at the festival saved paradis from being deleted, understand that if he wasn't there to do what he did, the complete might of the worlds military would have been used on them. they still use horses to travel, what were they going to do when airships, are bombing, planes are dropping titans, tanks are busting through the gates? One island getting surprise attacked by the world. He bought tons of time during that attack by disposing of world leaders and the high ranking officials of almost every country.

I really can't blame Pyxis for his decision to surrender to the Jaegerists in an attempt to resolve internal conflict. Logically speaking they really don't have time to be fighting one another when you got most of the world against you but it's hard for anyone to cooperate with a group that bombed a superior like that. It really takes logic over feelings to make a decision like that but that's what makes him a rational leader.

I doubt that eren's intentions were to harm armin or mikasa as he didn't know they would meet with the commander at that time. however his jeagerists planted the bomb and they didn't care or know about their relation to him.
