I’m not sure if you’re the only one lmao, but i think it’s more likely that mother fortuna is puck. Based off the little bits you see in the movie, both use ice magic, both call her “lia” and I think they both had a similar line where they said they love her more than anything.

If you find crying to be cringe you have a messed up mind. I understand the excessive crying all at once but to think an output of genuine emotion like crying is cringe is messed up to think about. People, especially males, already constantly conceal up their emotions and either hide or stop from crying at all because they think they will be judged for it which inevitably can end up causing suicide. Letting out tears and emotion is a good thing. But yea I wished they didn't push the crying scene for as long as they did cause it wasn't needed and the sounds made me skip over it.

I have a theory that Mother Fortuna is most likely Puck but was given a different body to be with Emilia. In the Frozen Bonds OVA Puck states that it made a contract with someone to be with Emilia but it wasn't mentioned with whom. Puck apologises to Emilia when she comes out of the ice about leaving her there for so long so it kinda adds up. Pandora probably made that contract with Fortuna out of admiration for the love she had for Emilia instead of killing her. Mother Fortuna also calls Emilia 'Lia' towards the end of the episode and the only other person to do that was Puck.

From what we seen I think the difference is subaru's thing controls time whereas Pandora(the witch of vanity) just straight up changes reality. None of the events changed when pandora spoke regulus outta there, but everything he directly did was undone. Atleast that's what I took from it. Also you not stupid we ain't heard of her before

The whole time I was watching this episode i kept staring at her hair and was like hmmm... puck is that you? Puck calls her his daughter, uses very strong ice magic like fortuna and I mean it wouldn't be the weirdest thing to be reborn as a spirit and to want to protect emilia by locking her memories away.

Great all around episode good information but the crying for me was too much and made me feel kind of uncomfortable lol. Every other scene someone was crying bout something. I was so happy to when we were stuck on the battle and even when we stopped with suburu and everyone else.. And for everyone bitching and moaning about how some of us ain’t emotional enough. Well...I was emotional at the end of angel beats, clannad and plastic memories too. At this point Emilia needs to do better plus I’m a rem fan 🤣

I kinda feel bad for Betelgeuse now... guy went mad trying to protect Emilia and Fortuna out of love for Fortuna only for it all it be in vain.. Also got me thinking when he encounters Rem in the first season (ep15) he asks her "why does a believer in love, such as yourself, adhere to someone like him (Subaru)?" In context now it could be interpreted as him subconsciously referring to Fortuna and himself at this moment in time?

Yoo i just realized the first time Subaru ran into the White Whale it randomly disappeared while he was running for his life right? After seeing Pandora's ability she must've been watching at that moment and rewrote the Whale being there and chasing Subaru when she saw him desperately trying to preserve his own life. That would explain why it was suddenly there and then without a sound it was gone completely.
