It's still stupid to not invite him to the camp at Shiritorizawa. The point is to level up first years, and a player with less experience than Hinata was invited. If you want to level up first years, why wouldn't you invite Hinata?

Keep in mind that as an all-around player Hinata is trash. His serve is trash, his receives are trash, his blocks are trash, and he still lacks a fundamental understanding of the game. He never got to properly practice or play in middle school until the very end when he managed to pull a team together but then to get folded by kageyama. Yes he is a beast, full of talent and potential but the boy needs so much work still. But all of that, just fuel to the fire lets fucking go Hinata.

I think a lot of people are tricked by the amazing animation into thinking that Hinata is a good volleyball player. He's terrible. He's a freak athlete, which allows Kageyama to use him effectively, but that comes at the cost of his own skill development. Ukai admits that he's partially to blame for that as well.
