Remember kids, blood doesn't only have big and wide veins, and bloodbenders don't use muscles, instead, they use veins. So, in order to lift a person or even control their little veins to move their fingers can rupture micro veins and cause internal bleeding along with incredible pain. If done with an overly excessive force, it can turn one's inside into scrambled eggs.

One of the things I like about this series is not only the technological advancements but also in bending too. Katara learned from Hama and did it better, then Tarlok learned from his predecessors and did it even better. Kind of like how in real life Olympic athletes became more skilled as the standards continued to increase.

I have a pet theory that one of the past Avatars figured out bloodbending long ago and just kept it secret for fear of exactly this happening. I think that might be the explanation for why the Avatar State can so easily overcome bloodbending -- the experience of the Avatar that created it is called forth. It's possible, of course, that the Avatar State can just overpower any given bloodbender's power. But I think it would make sense that it's more than that.

Tbh if I were to make a guess I'd assume Amon is like an upgraded version of Combustion man, since they had fully functional metal prosthetics back then, and so his resistance could be from just straight up having barely any blood from having a mostly mechanical body.

yeah this is most likely the truth because even when in the avatar state we know the avatars body doesnt change they can still take damage and can even die which is its biggest risk plus it being such a hax doesnt fit well story wise
