Yeah people who get concerned about the mere image of a character a person spoiling things in official art forget that most of these series are originally manga's that have covers that do the exact same thing. It's called building curiosity and interest.

Yeah I never got that. Showing characters who you don't know aren't really spoilers. Only massive plot related things like abilities, powerups, character fights/deaths are the spoilers you'd want to avoid. But showcasing cool art never detracts, like the manga covers it builds interest on what to look forward to throughout the arc.

Yeah that is a new trend I've noticed where people will consider everything out of an episode to be a spoiler. A lot more people are skipping al intros, outros, art, episode titles, etc. for fear of spoiling. Now, if this stuff really hurts your enjoyment of a show then do whatever you gotta do. But I don't remember people being so sensitive to supposed "spoilers" which used to be be considered previews that are there to build hype.

this episode made me think...when is someone we, the viewers, really care about gonna get dropped? we see randos and kids get merced, i think its about time

Think people way over react to spoilers in the OP or like the background art, the only people who would really get spoiled from an intro are those who try way to hard to look into what is shown, in which case they don't care about it spoiling them. When I watched HxH the first time I didn't notice anything the OP shows until its been introduced and was still suprised when first experiencing it.
