i absolutely LOVE how they used the Hunter Exam as a walk down memory lane and also a benchmark to show how far the kids have progressed since the beginning. its easy to get lost when gon/killua are stronger than x or grow faster than y, but still arent as strong as heavy hitters like hisoka, the troupe, the zoldycks, the bomber, etc. so i love that killua gets to go back to the exam and show how much higher he and gon are than anyone else there. its beautiful satisfying, and a nice laugh.
