now that im thinking about it. its not really a plot hole because that virus is being used to kill supes if i remember correctly, so why would they recruit a supe to work on a supe killing virus?

The reason why they didn't reach out to the smartest hero about creating the virus is because it's not in her interest to help them. The virus is contagious to supes. If you're a supe, you would do everything to try to stop it. If she helps them, she's basically assuring her own demise.

Idk if this was brought up yet, but if Butcher doesn't die in this season from injuries, I am hoping Marie can come in to heal him if she gets to the point of being able to use her powers to heal in opposition to what we have seen with Neuman (more of destructive force with blood manipulation) and potentially give him a second chance, granted it be a little cheap to cure him completely. Given the last scene, the thing in his head could be removed. Possibly give him more time, at least.
