Well, the only secret ingredients that I'm familiar with are Love, Chemical X, and Plankton.

Ayeeeeee my Friday looking good now, I like that you guys are getting really into this show

Antoine Cooper

I know y'all don't normally react to the ED songs. But make sure you listen to it. Song is fire imo

Merfhew

Ah, yes, they were roommates. Possibly even cousins.

WorldWideLove2000

Yeah I'm glad it was pointed out that the woman who wanted to get the recipe was originally planning to run a local business together, not franchise it. It seemed she changed her vision once she got caught up in the business and just assumed her friend would change herself for the sake of the franchise. But her friend stayed true to herself. I think that's the moral of this episode. You stick to your convictions and stay true to yourself, rather than conforming to what the rest of the world is doing. Overall, great reaction. I love seeing your different viewpoints of these episodes lol.

bleach

the outro lmao

Zaria Parker

This end discussion has me dying 😂😂😂

Merfhew

Note to self: never debate business with Roshi. 🤣

Dréa

Facts cuz that's what I'm doing right now lol 🍜

speedy

roshi said nah either go big or go home 😭

kennedy morgan

does anyone know what lupa says at the end of each video?

Kevin Kovacs

oh yes! Can't wait to see their season 2 reactions because it was PEAK.

lunamoon

the end discussion was too good LOLLL

Karabo

The discussion at the end is telling me this show is about to be some S-Tier shit. They don't usually talk that much. I like Roshi basically playing devil's advocate for the business lady

jared zavala

after season 1 ending you already know they are jumping back to next episode asap lol

Joydan Bri’an

yeah they’re really great friends 😭😭 this show is really good though. i’m always late to watch good shows/movies for some reason

WorldWideLove2000

Yeah those end discussions are gonna get more wild with each episode I feel like. I'm here for it 😂

breelo

happy link click day🥳

Ruin

I think what happened was the cook thought it was just going to be them 2 and based on how I watched it felt like she also caught feelings for her. But the one who forgot didn’t catch on she also wanted to expand when that wasn’t the plan. Which Is why throughout time you can see the cook becoming less and less happy and walking out of the interview.

KeYo

roshis a fucking loser lol like all you care about is money. if someone wants to be small then let them. im sure you had your dreams right but some people just wanna live their dream and not be bigger. imagine spending all that money just to find out an ingredient you that you introduced them to! lol you are the true L

Fizzy

Show is so fire 🔥

Giyuu

we all know Roshi is a villain did you just get here? He literally says this every single reaction he always says he would kill off a cast and everything

Dyastro

@Giyuu This is the perfect response to this type of goofy ahh comment

KeYo

well I never said he was a villain. I said he was a loser and that he took the true L for that. I don't think what he said made him a villain in my opinion. just an L lol is spending all that money just to find out you were the one who showed them the ingredient not an L? lol

lil_riko

getbackers reference? He knows ball.

quxntum

u didnt say he was a villain but they did. that being said if she wanted to find out what the ingredient was that bad then why not spend money on it? she wouldve spent way more money going to meet her just to ask what it was and going back.

KeYo

I see your point but she could have asked and saved herself the money no? it would still be a loss on her part because you could have saved all that money. seems impulsive and still an L move if you look at it closely no?

Olpop

This man lupa😂 “I’ll stfu now”

Kisuke01

Imagine if the special ingredient was feet or some dumb shit like that 😂

Delinda Arts

This one was sweet and all but Cheng still got that body on his jacket and Lu just letting him stay clueless 💀

godUsoland

Yeah, I can tell you 3 will love this show lol

Brobi-Wan Kenobi

Yooo GetBackers mention?? I can count on one hand the number of people I've encountered who've seen it which is a shame because it's one of my fave manga. Link Click lowkey reminded me of GetBackers a bit too.

KeYo

why would I go outside and touch grass randomly?

User100

Love the ending discussions

Hasnain Khan

Yehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Huemon Nottabear

They fucken around with time to much. Continuity must be maintained, that is the only law. No matter how careful you plan, no matter how well your intentions, time will fight you, continuity is and must be the only way.

WorldWideLove2000

Yeah I love how they give us happy moments then at the end of the episode, when all distractions dissappear, our minds are just suddenly like, "Oh yeah but, about that other thing..." We're not allowed to stay happy for long I swear 😅

2024-05-25 08:00:59 Roshi man, you can run a single restaurant (or a line of restaurants) and be set for life. The orange haired lady wanted to turn their food into a packaged ramen franchise, while the other actually wanted to cook food 💀

LMAO ending discussion. But yeah, I agree with Roshi about growing the business being the obvious thing to do. BUT in this specific situation the reason why the dark haired girl not telling her partner the recipe kinda makes sense is because they were a couple who had feelings for each other, and the blonde girl had become TOO business-minded to the point of even forgetting that SHE was the one who fkn "came up" with the "secret ingredient" in the first place. So when she found out the secret ingredient.. and remembered how they had started it all together, their feelings for each other, etc. She prolly understood her Business-mindedness had become too much, and she made the choice that she would rather be with her partner than lose herself and lose their relationship from the stress of trying to expand their business.

poisonivybag

The end conversation killed me 😂😂

Freeofgreed

Glad I wasn’t the only one who got getbackers vibes. Two things i’m confused about tho. How did they start a chain when only one person had the secret ingredient? Also don’t they inherit the memories when travel? Why didn’t he know the ingredient immediately when he took over the black haired lady.

Eric Stormbringer

That end discussion made me realize another of the many reasons y'all are the goat reactors. You got Sheera who is very empathetic, Roshi who balances that out by being the one who stands on business and Lupa who keeps it real with both of y'all and also acts as the bridge that ties together their often-opposing perspectives. I love y'all lol.

Tina

They both knew the secret ingredient, one of the ladies forgot it because she got so wrapped in her business and because of her not remembering, cheng didn't inherit the memory.

Freeofgreed

I know they both knew it, what i'm asking is how did she have a whole chain with multiple restaurants if it's something she thought only her friend knew? Obviously the cooks at the other restaurants would need to know the recipe as well, in which case, couldn't she have just asked one of them? Also why didn't Cheng inherent the memory? Do they only inherit certain ones?

Benji

Btw there was a comment that said to watch 5.5 episode as there is something to add to story...which i did and then watched episode 6 and 5.5 didn't really add anything that i could easily learn in episode 6...unless something comes up in later episodes, i think you guys can skip 5.5 if you want lol

Vicky

You should finish both seasons before offering advice

Benji

ahhh ok! ignore my comment then roshi!!! Looks like I am in for a treat with next couple episodes and season

artisticSarcasm

I think Lu did change something by sending that picture over to her, as I don't remember their partner telling them to do that. I'm just glad it worked for the better though. Butterfly effect seems like its gonna be huge in this moving forward, probably some real bittersweet moments coming up.

SoggySoup

Fun fact: During the creepy dial fail noises in the ED you can hear somebody say "Oh poor Lu Guang!" In chinese.

Jonathan Sessoms

Men can’t wait for yall to react to season 2 lol this pure fire 🔥 all I wanted to say was

Broccoli Monster

she send the photo in the original timeline too, it's the photo they use to enter the past :P btw. Lu is white haired man and Cheng has black hair :)

Revurus

He went back because he wanted the noodles, not because he wanted to save their friendship lol he just greedy

J Man

Roshi with the pure evil in the discussion 😈: "I'm so petty, I hired niggas to go through TIMEEEE to get this info!!!"... Lupa better not mess up his friendship and business partnership with Roshi in the future or else he'll pay time travelers to mess with Lupa in the past.

J Man

I do agree with Roshi on the business part tho. Where ol petty girl may have been outta hat is in letting the business consume her. What they should have done is compromise. Like what happened at the end of Itaewon class where they crushed a business, went corporate, and Franchised, all while keeping Danbam as their mom and pop flagship where the squad can be happy. Even the evil jangga chairman, while crushing enemies, always made sure to never ditch the wholesome Soondubu stew roots that Jangga started when he was poor and hungry as a kid.

Clinton Vance

Yooo I remember reading the manga for The Getbackers in Barnes and Noble, like, so long ago. I think I was like 14, 15, so 17 years ago. Damn lol

Candy

The these mfs keep going into woman bodies

Ash

This end discussion was hilarious Roshi hiring people to go back in time to get a recipe

BornUnMotivated

I'm probably late but I don't think they agreed on expanding I think only the girl who hired them wanted to expand but the chef wanted to stay small and spend time with the girl she was in love with. She didn't want it to be a chain restaurant.

Sung Woong

Roshi acting like if you start a business it needs to exponentially grow is clown shoes. Especially with restaurants. Go to any city in America, the best places are always the smaller establishments where people just tryna cook and serve.

ViralCorgi

Black-haired girl didn't tell her the ingredient because she WANTED her to figure it out. Which is why she gave her that clue of going back to where it all started. That moment of her talking about building a restaurant and sharing that ingredient is was what launched their partnership. To Black-haired girl, them building that restaurant together was probably a big dream because it combined two things she loved - cooking and her "roommate". And it likely hurt like hell to see her spiral and become money obsessed while also forgetting such a significant moment. The bond they shared didn't matter to orange-hair any more. It was all about the business. Black-hair knew once orange-hair figured out the ingredient it would slap her back to reality and make her realize how warped she's become.
