You thought I already had a bike stand dinn'n you?  Well this one is the one I really wanted to build.

Lots of fab work in this one.  Might even be 50% safe to use, too!  Hope you like it.

BUILD: Scissor Lift!

No one said it couldn't be done... yet... here it is! (The bike lift I wanted but was afraid to make) ---- Music: Killing With Kindness - Jingle Punks

Why haven't you used a left hand thread on one side and a right hand thread on the other, this way you could slight the scissors in the middle of the stand together, and not on one side This way you can get the load off the bearing and on the rod itself, while cutting the load on the threads in half. You could also drive the screw in the middle with a shaft running 90° in the middle. This way you can turn the thing up and down on all four sides. I would recommend to screw it to the floor, at least with one screw. This avoids flat Tonys and ugly red stains on the bike.

Awesome Video Tony. Love to just watch the shenanigans that you do. Keep up the good work!

I wonder if I'm missing something obvious, but why would you not rotate the stand 90 degrees so you can get to the drive mechanism easier?

I have a couple of these in a golf cart shop. The trick to get extra height is to just put them on a proper motorcycle table lift that is made to lift motorcycles

I just joined up, but a big fan. I wondered the same as Greg. Why not have the stand with a bearing supported platform, with 8 locking stops at 45 degrees each, so the bike cold be swivelled - Similar to the stops in a table saw? (I am not a metalworker, merely a wood surgeon, so I crave your indulgence!)
