Checking in! (Patreon)

Hello Beastlings!

I just wanted to check in before the end of the month and see how you are all doing. I am not doing well - I am extremely sick. It’s actually crippling and my voice is completely gone. I can’t even speak. I don’t want to draw attention to this because I am trying to power through and still make shows happen but I’m running on about 2% of my usual power and it’s a horrible feeling. I want to give 100% every night and I just can’t right now.

That being said - the first few shows of the tour were great. We had some really treacherous technical difficulties (the first show I had no ear-monitors because of a nearby airport interfering, so basically I heard white noise, loud pops and then nothing while trying to sing) but overall I felt better and stronger than ever. Then it all vanished and turned upside down within one day.

I hope I can check in in a few days and be totally healthy again! Colds always destroy singers the most, and with no days off my voice doesn’t have a chance to heal. I sound like a completely different person when I try to speak and singing /screaming is impossible.

That being said - I’m happy that the rest of my band are healthy and strong as ever so they more than make up for my weakness in this moment!
