Here is this week's Creator Chronicles Episode!

I really love singing, I could go on about it for hours. I also realize that I regularly sing in a few styles that I have never released music in; I truly enjoy jazz, blues, gospel and broadway singing and I actually do these styles a lot in practise. But - I have no intention of releasing albums in these genres! I do think you will hear little peeks of this side of me more and more with upcoming releases though. I can't get down with the lyrics to gospel songs but damn - the technique is fun!

I really try to create a landscape with my vocals. Everything from my posture right down to my facial expression is encoded in the takes. The microphone picks up what you are thinking and feeling more than what you are saying. I usually track in the dark with skulls all around me - that's just the environment I like, personally. 

I also really believe that there is no "wrong" way to go about singing. Do what YOU like and what feels right for you and your music and your body. Lots of people have strong opinions on how healthy death metal vocals are but very few actually do them for a living. Don't be afraid to sound stupid. Don't be afraid to try new things. 

I wish I had the solo'd vocal tracks from previous works to show you guys just how much is hidden in the mixes. I will definitely have these files for future releases because, well, I am recording it all myself!
