And the large things! And the bizarre and the beautiful!

I wanted to share with you all my latest photography venture into the Estuary of the Saint-Lawrence River. I talked about this in the last Virtual Meet & Greet so feel free to rewatch that!

Although I was born, raised and live on an island in the middle of the Saint-Lawrence River, I have never taken the opportunity to really explore it. That is partially because if you are willing to commit to a 6 hour drive from Montreal, you can hit the ocean in Maine, the mountains in New Hampshire, NYC or Toronto which are arguably all more interesting destinations. But, with Covid knocking the USA destinations out of the game and Toronto being just another city to me, we decided to follow this historically important river as it widens and swells towards the Atlantic Ocean.

There are a LOT of photos here. Beautiful sunsets, interesting rock formations, cute animals, ground textures, hand-held astronomy (again), glassy tides, weird art installations, micro and macro observations.

I love how the water is so mirror-like that it appears the rocks and houses are built in the sky. The birds were hilarious. The moon photos are only a day apart but you can see how the phase noticeably shifted. Mr. Crabs was alive - a little girl walked past me and put him in the water; I'm always afraid kids will hurt small animals when they find them (since, for some reason, they often seem to be chasing and stomping and shaking and throwing when they see them) but she put him back and said "I hope he can find his natural habitat again one day!" Needless to say, I was happy to hear that!

Enjoy these visuals!

If you have any questions about what you see just ask away in the comments!

Have a great night everyone!
