Here is the new music video for No Joy's Dream Rats!

We want to take this opportunity to spotlight a local bird rehabilitation centre, Le Nichoir. This is where Gazpacho was brought (if you don't know what I'm referring to with Gazpacho, he is a baby duckling I picked up out of a busy street last year - search my #animal posts here!) and where my sister volunteered nursing him and other residents back to health so they can be re-released into the wild!

And yes, this is my real sister, Jasamine White-Gluz!

This was my first time working with a stylist and I'm glad the team pushed me beyond my comfort zone to learn about a different style of music and fashion. I still did my own hair and makeup (except the graphic eyeliner was done by Carole) but normally, I do EVERYTHING from start to finish. No one touches me. I style myself for every show, red carpet, music video, photoshoot, etc. So it was a weird but cool experience!

The outfit I am wearing was made by a vegan, Montreal-based designer who focuses on up-cycling (which you guys know I love)... so this was something else before it became clothes!

I am screaming in the background all over this song and also singing some low, velvety harmonies. No Joy's music is about creating textures and moods through sound-painting, so I threw in a few brushstrokes :).

This shoot was done with a fully covid-safe set with proper distancing and masks. I wore a mask every time I was off-camera. Only Success the Duck was violating the rules but I think she's allowed to ☺️
