I've been feeling particularly visually inspired recently and I did this amazingly Canadian thing so I thought I would share some of my captures.

It seems to be becoming a tradition for me to cross the threshold of the new year in museums, light shows or just surrounded by art in some way. Do you have any NYE traditions?

The weather was mild and big, chunky snowflakes were gently floating down to Earth... it was quite magical.

When I'm sad, I can't make music. I can't sing or perform or write. I know people say to "channel the emotion" and while that may work for some, it doesn't for me. I do, however, feel inspired to paint when I'm sad. At least that's one trade-off for feeling low!

To write music, I need to feel happy, strong, determined, powerful. Luckily, I usually do feel that way but it's not without effort.

This was way cooler (and more humane) than a zoo and it is an installation called Illumi. Animals and art are genuinely the only two things I can think of that give me back that childlike sense of wonder we lose as age defeats us. What are some activities or things that do that for you?

Enjoy 💙,
