Hi Patrons!
We really wanted to make sure y’all got an update this month, so we’re excited to release AltStore 1.5.1b AND AltServer 1.5.1b — featuring a BUNCH of highly requested bug fixes! In particular, these betas fix several issues related to signing-in, so if you’ve been having trouble using your Apple ID with AltStore these betas are for you. We also managed to squeeze in various other important bug fixes in response to your feedback, so please keep sending us your bug reports 🙏
We really wanted to address as many annoying issues as we could for these betas, so here’s the complete list of bug fixes:
AltStore 1.5.1 beta
- Fixed signing in with Apple IDs that contain capital letters
- Fixed signing in with Apple IDs that have 2FA enabled but don’t have any registered trusted devices
- Fixed repeatedly asking some users to sign in every time they refresh their apps
- Fixed “Application is missing application-identifier” error when sideloading or (de-)activating certain apps
- Fixed “Incorrect Apple ID or password” error after changing an Apple ID’s primary email address
AltServer 1.5.1 beta
- Fixed signing in with Apple IDs that contain capital letters
- Fixed signing in with Apple IDs that have 2FA enabled but don’t have any registered trusted devices
- Fixed incorrect “Developer Disk incompatible with [iOS Version]” error when enabling AltJIT
- Fixed installing Mail plug-in after uninstalling it (macOS)
- Fixed an issue causing wired connections to occasionally stall (macOS)
- Fixed an issue causing indefinite high CPU usage after enabling AltJIT (Windows)
- Fixed an issue causing indefinite high CPU usage after updating AltStore (Windows)
Both AltServer versions are attached, so you can go ahead and update! (Windows users - be sure to uninstall your previous AltServer version first). And as always, you can update AltStore from the My Apps tab.
On another note, we know y’all have been patiently waiting for a big update to that emulator app we also work on…the good news is we’ve just about wrapped up internal testing on the next beta, and couldn’t be more excited to release it early next month for all our iPad uses 🙂
