AltStore 1.5b2 + AltServer 1.5b8: iOS 15.1 Support & AltJIT Fixes (Patreon)

As several of you have noticed, Apple released new betas for iOS 15.1 since my last post — which unfortunately no longer support the code signature AltStore uses to re-sign apps. These hiccups are not unexpected, but nonetheless are annoying to deal with since they require me to pause ongoing development in order to debug the issue. Thankfully, I've now identified the change, so AltStore now fully supports the new iOS 15.1 code signature, allowing you to resume sideloading apps on the latest and greatest iOS version 🙌

Additionally, these betas fix several bugs y'all have reported since the last betas — both related to AltJIT as well as unrelated things — so thanks as always for your bug reports!

AltStore 1.5 beta 2

* Supports iOS 15.1 beta

* Improves support for apps using AltKit

* Improves widget layout on smaller devices

* Fixes widget not updating

* Fixes “Refresh All Apps” shortcut timing out

* Fixes incorrect Settings tab bar appearance on iOS 15

AltServer 1.5b8

* Supports installing AltStore onto iOS 15.1 beta

* Supports macOS Monterey beta 9

* Improves error message when sideloading more than 3 apps with a non-developer Apple ID

* Prefers revoking existing AltStore development certificate over other certificates, if one exists

* Fixes “Couldn’t communicate with a helper application” error on macOS Mojave

* Fixes potential crash when disconnecting iOS device (macOS only)

* Fixes duplicate “Revoke Development Certificate” alert (macOS only)

With any luck, these will be the final betas before the public release of AltStore + AltServer 1.5 — so as always please report any and all bugs you find to ensure the shipping version is as stable as possible 🙂

NOTE: Windows users, make sure to uninstall AltServer before installing this beta to ensure it updates properly.
