Podcast funfacts: The guys thought it would be cool to use their friend's names when they first started writing the show. Th name "Dennis Reynolds" comes from a couple of Rob McElhenney's friends named Dennis, and then another friend with the last name of Reynolds. Charlie Day thought it would be cool to use his buddy's last name.....McPoyle. Charlie feels bad now that the McPoyle name is sort of ruined for his friend. Also, Rob accidentally stole the name "Sweet Dee" from Tom Morello, the lead guitarist of Rage Against The Machine. "Sweet Dee" was Tom's pet name for his wife, and they all ran into each other at a party. Anyway, Rob said the name must have stuck with him somehow, and years later he decided to use it for Dee's character (having forgotten where he first heard it). He also feels bad about it since it sort of ruined the nickname for Morello's wife. Ohh..and of all their friends they mention in their podcast, they speak highest of the actor who plays LIam McPoyle. They consider him one of the funniest people they know. The story about what Charlie and Jimmi (McPoyle) had in their refrigerator was hilarious.

You need to hear the story. It also involved the waitress after her and Charlie Day's first date. The background stuff with Jimmi Simposon (Liam McPoyle) and Charlie Day is just great material overall.
