Bet you didn’t expect hirokawa to be a human, and I think every species prioritizes their own safety above all else. Reiko picked him up, and I do think their goals aligned in a sense since hirokawa saw them as species able to help the earth, while parasyte want a place on it. Parasytes don’t really have an objective, they sorta have to figure that out themselves. Gotou explaining to the officer about his abilities could be because he was going to kill him so wouldn’t matter regardless, could also be a bit of an ego from gotou to make himself feel better than a human. By him explaining we now know that gotou has openings in his defense meaning he is not invincible. First chance uragami he had he took it escape he took it, murdered the officer and now is walking as a free man. We do see a bit more of the original shinichi from the beginning of the series and showing us that his emotions are back, and here’s the thing would gotou try to assassinate shinichi? He mentions he lives to fight, so he might want a fight instead of just sneaking up and killing shinichi. I mean to gotou seeing shinichi there he might think he helped the officer kill his group, so I would be a bit mad at shinichi too lol. Shinichi and murano are graduating so close to or are already 18 year olds, but it was unexpected 🤣.

Sure Protect the planet but killing indiscriminately random humans here and there that has nothing to do with the environment not sure how that helps. Parasite has only eaten a minute number of people in the 8 billions people on earth and it’s random not target. It won’t change a thing. I was surprised that Hirokawa was just a human. Even more so my previous paragraph. Hirokawa was a human that decided that humans had to die because they negatively affect the planet and associate with parasites but random non-target killing does nothing. Not that I support targeted killing but I really failed to see how a handful of parasites as they are now is helping the planet. The killer is smart. Now he can put the detective's death as a casualty of the parasite and since everybody died at the end they forgot about him. Until they search the corpse and realise his not there but he will be long gone. The other policeman must think Shinichi is a wacko whispering to himself in a corner 😅 I think Gotou just like to fight and that a comment trope “teaching” when you’re killing an opponent to show how superior you are you don’t have to worry about anything and take time to “teach” Shinichi supposed to have superhuman strength after Migi transfer to him 30% of his cells so maybe he was crushing her 😅 Ok after episode discussion We are almost done and I still don’t get the premise of the parasyte. Why are they here purposefully or randomly. And eating only 1 species that they have to parasite. No reproduction that we know of. Maybe it’s more of a plot device to make us think more but I’m not sure it's a very efficient plot device. Also what is the parasyte philosophy? Gotou just said I like to fight so he fought. That's his philosophy. It's Hirokawa that puts the environment onto them, I said it in my first paragraph. What have they done for the environment? At this point he is not much different than a waco doing a mass shooting because humans are polluting. You side with parasyte but what is your plan here, Let them feed indiscriminately random people? What's the point? I don’t question that humans are bad for the environment. I question his solution or the purpose of parasyte.
