I didn’t notice shigaraki and meruem had the same voice actor until today

This isn’t a spoiler for the show since it isn’t mentioned in the manga and only in the prequel spinoff Vigilantes, but Shirakumo’s original quirk allows him to make clouds that he could store stuff in or ride on. I guess the smoke effect of his Nomu body is kind of similar to his original quirk with the addition of teleportation. Chapters 59-65 of the Vigilantes spin-off gives the story of his school days and death if anyone is interested.

Its more like AFO is Palpatine and Shiggy is Darth Vader. All Might is Obi Wan, Deku is Luke, Gran Torino is Yoda. Those are really the only characters with Star Wars parallels I can think of off the top of my head.

I was going to comment on the Star War thing but Liam parallele make much more sense than mine 😅. However I don’t see Shigaraki being a Darth Vader yet. He is more at the level of Kylo Ren. So in a sense what AP said made sense. Darth Vader was trying to convert Luke to the dark side when they met. However Luke was already grown up and had Obi Wan. If Darth Vader could have converted Luke when he was much younger at the age of Shigaraki when he met AFO, I believe we would have someone that looks like Kylo Ren.

I really don’t think the doctor lied to Midorya about not having a quirk. It’s such a big part of his character, it would be disrespectful to his development. It is confirmed Shigaraki is related to All Mights predecessor, that was confirmed in the fight between All Might and All For One so I wouldn’t say it’s a spoiler anymore. All For One I think would be Palpatine (the head of the dark side, or villains), and Shigaraki is Vader (the chosen apprentice of the dark side ruler). Midorya would be Luke (the one who wants to help), and All Might would be Obi-Wan (the mentor of the protagonist). I know you said you were on a Clone Wars binge. If you haven’t seen it, I would love to see your reaction to season 7 of that show. Great reaction as always.
