Great post! I must say out of all the reactors I’ve seen, you definitely are one of the very few who have a very good understanding of what’s going on. I’ll be more than happy to answer any questions you’ll have as you go along Incase there’s anything you want cleared up (without spoiling of course!) So you’re one of the very few reactors who noticed that roswaal seems to have copied hectors speech pattern and outfit. No one knows why, the answer to this isn’t even in the novel yet. Lots of theories going around that maybe after almost dying to hector, roswaal some day in the future encountered him again and something happened ... he had 2 blue eyes in the past and now he has one yellow eye.. maybe they fused together? Maybe he defeated him and has the melancholy factor? (But he’s not acting depressed so I doubt this one). The sanctuary was created to protect echidna from hector. Most people assume that the hector might be a half blood because remember - the barrier around the sanctuary prevents half bloods from getting in or escaping. So hector can’t come in nor can anyone leave once inside. The barrier is very specific to prevent half bloods only which would explain why roswaal mentioned they spent so long gathering half bloods and demi human races to gather enough power to create the barrier, but they also needed someone to be the core (ryuzu). Subaru and roswaal are both full blood humans and ram is a full blood demon so they can all come and go as they please. Emilia was only able to enter because she had that crystal it seems and it glowed/reacted to the barrier back in ep 2 and teleported them in. There’s so much more to explain so I can continue as you watch more but if you have any questions - feel free to ask! P.S: hector is the only male witch of sin (warlock is proper term I guess), the other 8 are female: echidna, pandora, satella, minerva, daphne, carmilla, sehkmet. This back story took place 400 years ago while all those witches were still alive. Pandora was alive in emilias flash back which takes place 300 years AFTER this. Pandora is just an enigma! We don’t know if hector is dead or alive either!

The interesting question now is if Hector is still around or not; even if Roswaal somehow suceeded vs Subaru & got Echidna back (seems to be his goal, don't know how he would do it), if she hasn't grown stronger since then, wouldn't they be back to square 1 once they go anywhere & Hector picks up their trail again? Maybe she's better at other stuff, but in direct combat he beat both her & Roswaal as it seems... I mean, we saw neither him nor Pandora in Echidna's tea party, so if those 2 are still on the loose...shit

Why roswaal think ppl will never change and ppl always stay week is because No matter how good he is no matter how hard he try, he still can’t beat Hector.
