All the ants except the Royal Guard and Meruem can speak telepathically. I think at some point earlier they mentioned speaking just felt more natural to the more human ones that came later. The captains underneath the squadron leaders sometimes had to use it to talk to the lowest level ants that couldn't speak earlier in the arc. I noticed something this time through... I've seen that first episode several times, but I never noticed Knov is reading an actual real world book, The Secret Garden. I wonder if there was some significance to that. It just sort of seemed odd, since I can't remember another time the show referenced any real-world stuff so directly.

That outro song bops, you should probably avoid watching it until you've seen episode 102 minimum though. I would also say that we saw the first glimpse of the real problem with this arc: the narrator explaining what the characters could have. Just as easily as the narrator said "Killua can't use En, but he extended his aura as far as he could," Killua could have thought to himself some variation there of, such as "I haven't learnt En, but I'll just have to try."

I don't think it's that much of a problem. There wouldn't have been enough time for Killua to think a full sentence before the bullet got to him anyway. Most scenes that get explained by the narrator are that way.

Couples things. First, I really like your hair. Second, I really don’t think that’s what Netero was talking about when he said he would have to sacrifice someone. I don’t wanna get into detail cause spoilers but stuff happens to support the idea he wasn’t talking about the people the king and royal guards are killing. When they say they’re identifying rebels, they aren’t exclusively talking about Nen users, they’re talking about anyone who’s outside. They want to keep people inside and only open their doors for soldiers to stop the spread of information that villages are getting killed off (Killua). I think the loss of telepathic communication comes from the individuality the ants gain as they’re born. If your remember, Colt clarified that telepathy was specifically to communicate with the queen, so as the ants diverge, they gain new abilities such as speech.

Killua guessed Shoot was a Manipulator when he fought him who controls hands and conjures the cage. He didn't turn his arm into hands; he's possibly a cripple like the 3 from Heaven's Arena.

I'm a little behind, just got to the brighter side of end of term finals and projects! These are the slow episodes that people reference, I think. These fights are shown with a disconnect from the human side of the conflict, rather like watching moves in a board game; there's no tension. But these episodes serve a larger purpose in the grand scheme of the story.
