Oh Im early today <3

Christian

can't wait to watch

RJIA

For your question about the cherry blossoms, they can grow in the US, I think a lot of parks cultivate them. The ones I saw were at White River State Park in Indianapolis.

Knocking Master Jiro

Why do they say not to watch the intro and outro? The outro is deff okay.

Mattie

So I love these episodes for a few reasons, and you spoke about one of them, that I find fascinating. And its true, are the ants really evil at all? They are trying to survive like every other organism on earth. Evil is a matter of perspective sometimes. To humans, the ants appear to be evil, because we associate their actions with what an *evil* human would do, but failing to understand their actual intent. Its an interesting topic on where exactly the line gets drawn, between what constitutes an evil act, and one that isnt. As for Ging being some kind of mastermind behind Gon's development or whatever, it is hard to say. Hes just so unknown and from what they tell us so far, has little contact with the world aside from the feats he accomplished in the past. Weather or not we can judge him as a good Father, a coward, etc is hard to say. I very much enjoyed this episode, as with all episodes, and I always look forward to the next one!

AP 2020 https://youtu.be/HAdxbsaHdJg?t=80 AP 2021 "I love it dark!" loved the reaction

Dillon Hansel

Oooohhhhh she's finally here bois! Time for the emotional rollercoaster from hell! Also AHAHAHAHAHAHA! The station attendant hasn't even made final call, forget about the train having left the station! This arc is absolutely wild and just barely getting started. I hope your emotions are ready to he abused.

JD

Something I never appreciated before is how Killua leapt across gunfire to get Gon to safety.

yo kel!

I cant believe we’ve finally made it. You better stock up on tissues now before its too late. This arc is fucked up 😂

Killua X

Kytooooo!!! I love Kite. You know we weren't really trying to "get you" lol. I truly believe the first dozen or more eps of this arc are pretty slow. So, the fact that you're enjoying/interested already makes me really happy 😊. Not saying they aren't important. I just remember hearing all the hype about this arc before I watched it and when I started was like ok... so... ants. But, this was a great reaction/review and it looks like you're really taking it all in so I'm super excited for what's coming. Also, I loved how you were all like 'ugh ugh disgusting' after seeing the queen eat the kids, then immediately after 'did you guys hear that? my stomach, i'm really hungry' LOL. **Oh and dude, cherry blossom festival right here every spring in DC!

AwakeProductions

I didn’t even think about that (the thing about me being hungry after that) 😅 Yeah I think I’m really going to enjoy this arc. It seems like it’s going to be very complex and emotionally exhausting. 🤯

Thanks for the reaction :) Excited about this arc!

JD

Your thoughts on Ging were very interesting. I can't remember what my own conclusions were when I originally watched. It's pretty clear that he's putting off meeting his son in any case - but by leaving clues for him along the way it's also clear that he feels he'll need to eventually.

JD

Boy if anyone spoils anything about this arc I'll be so mad. A lot of people really love it so they're bound to get carried away, either in correcting you before it's time or trying to tease future stuff (mostly talking about youtube commenters). Stay vigilant! O_O

Killua X

I agree. Even here in the Patreon too. I see a lot of new ppl commenting on HxH posts. We don't want to overhype now. Overhype is never good.

Yuvitek

There no spoilers in the ending. And I'll say the opening has literally zero spoilers as well. You will probably know how some characters will look and that's all with opening.

JD

I don't think the intro "spoils" the show but I do think it will be fun seeing you experience everything more "blind". There are many things you're not sure of at the moment about this arc and where it's going and it will probably be more enjoyable *for us* if that continues. But I'm not one of those who think it's a disaster if you watch it. Depends what you want - to be surprised by character designs, or to be hyped up for what's to come.

Anonymous

i think you shouldn't watch opening

Anonymous

why video still 360p Sad

Diego Zenhäusern

OK, let's be real here: I did not expect the name "Chimera Ant arc" to literally refer to ants😂 I was like: “Nah, that would be way to obvious xD” I would have bet you anything that “Chimera Ant” was like the name of a group or organization or something like that🙈😂

Killua X

That issue may be on your end my dude. It was 1080p for me 30 min after she uploaded it last night.

Killua X

I'll say this now because we've already seen that they're starting to change form. Focus on the "Chimera" part more than the ant part. They're better described as unique creatures that have the rare ability to take on attributes from what the queen eats.

Oda Nobunaga

Can I suggest something? By how you’re uploading, it appears to go: 78 and 79, 80 and 81, 82 and 83, then 84 and 85. I think 82, 83, and 84 should be a great triple reaction, the connection within those episodes are important for the story in my opinion. ONLY if you are up for it. I think it’ going to be amazing, but you don’t need to push/force yourself. Just a suggestion. It would be LOVELY. The reason I say this is because sometimes in an anime when you leave it for next time, you get a bit disconnected and when you react again, you have to catch up again and will have to be immersed again, which can ( I know for some) ruin the experience. I think those 3 episodes fit well together, that's all. ;D

Herman

I'd recommend skipping the OP. It's the same song as always, and (I would personally say) there are spoilers, if mild, in it.

coolkid558

This is why I was so excited to see your reaction to this show. The dark nature is right up your alley.

Japan for sure has the most sakuras, China & Korea has a lot of them as well

Was still thinking about Gon and Killua’s dynamic from the match against Razor since it reminds me of a certain scene in One Piece, one of my favorite character moments for Luffy. Quote: [Character]: *in tears* “I don’t have anything else that I can put on the line.” Luffy: “At least try putting all of our lives on the line together! Aren’t we friends?!” /quote Luffy has a similar stance on friendship that Gon has (though for different yet similar reasons). Although in Gon’s case, his friend understands how he thinks and has adopted his ideal of friendship, no words necessary. Similarly, Gon adopted his ideal of Ging and Hunters, an ideal of strength, from the first hunter he ever met, Kite, student of Ging. Also, worth noting that Gon didn’t forget Kite in the manga, that’s an anime filler explanation for skipping Kite's influence in episode 1. The flashback for Kite is also anime filler. In the Hunter Exam, Gon told Killua about Kite, and said Kite seemed more proud of Ging than he was of himself. You can consider that a reflection of Killua who seems to value Gon more than himself, a similar feeling to Gon except Killua has no one else at that level whereas Gon has a strong connection to Mito and a special admiration/idealization of Ging and Kite. I think of Kite as Gon’s first father figure, the first to “discipline” him, to advise him, in this case about foxbears, which Kite suggested Gon’s parents should’ve taught him before realizing Ging was his father. Kite tells him his father is great and that he has potential as a hunter, and that "blood tells, kid, and yours speaks volumes." The mentor figure is always seen as a father figure in storytelling, Kite as Ging’s student is like a father and an older brother for Gon. Same way Mito looked up to her cousin Ging, Gon looks up to Kite as a surrogate father, or older brother. Same way Killua looks up to Gon, or Kite to Ging. They all have a "guiding light," a role model or ideal except for perhaps Ging. Nietzsche: “When nature fails to give us a good father, one must furnish oneself with one." "What was silent in the father speaks in the son; and I often found in the son the unveiled secret of the father."

Diego Zenhäusern

I'm not good at recognizing this character and motivations stuff myself, but I really enjoy reading about it.... so thanks^^! Also: The quotes from Nietzsche at the end are really intriguing :)

Ezaron

could you please stop watching episodes before reacting to them? or is this something you have to do? I obviously don't want you to change just for this, thats why I would much appreciate an honest answer to this question. If this is going on for the whole show or any other that you watched, I can't deal with it.. unfortunately since I liked your quick uptake on some of the situations before that I know were genuine

AwakeProductions

Wtf are you talking about? I didn’t watch any of these episodes before reacting to them. I don’t know where you got this but it’s false.

Ezaron

I am very sorry for reacting like I did, you explained it during the episode, old version.. Won't happen again!
