I enjoyed the reaction, you’re getting to some of the more memorable eps of the series for me (like 43, iirc). Was too tired to contribute anything :/ I was wondering about the others too tho

Something I have not looked into in depth but was interesting was how the sins each homonculus embodies is shown as evil like in religious texts. But at least with Greed, from what I remember, he shows the other side of his vice(/virtue), the desire for friends (an example of healthy desires in general). Like Leorio pursuing wealth for philanthropic purposes in medicine (Hisoka also mentioned the Troupe dabble in philanthropy as well, probably funding programs in Meteor City). Despite the sins being of one vice they aren’t necessarily one-dimensional (Greed, Pride, Wrath, Envy). Reminds me of the following quote: “The concept of power, whether of a man or of a god, always includes the ability to help as well as the ability to harm.” (Nietzsche) I plan on reading the FMA manga but haven’t found the time (bought the whole series collection and it’s just sitting there waiting, lol). Could read scans but I want accurate translations and prefer physical reading (akin to Shougo Makishima). Edit: just thought of this but Father sort of reminds me of Shinobu Sensui from Yu Yu Hakusho.
