Not explicitly mentioned, but since they didn't dare to go check without their consent, I'll assume it would have counted as "interfering with the match", as opposed to when it was part of their betting-game & both parties agreed on it, if anything on that came up in the manga, would be great if a manga-reader explained on it ^^' or it just was plot-convenience without any explanation & the author didn't think to much (or hoped the audience wouldn't), shit happens XD

I mean, that is basically what they ended up doing anyway? To be honest I assumed her whole trick was a mind game that made them believe they couldn't continue, even though in theory there was nothing really preventing them from starting a new challenge, and that she didn't even have any other game in mind xD
