Rolo's Geass might also affect Knightmares, or there was an oversight. His Knightmare tracker kept showing up as LOST on Lelouch's screen. If he can only affect people, Lelouch should only see time skips on his screen, not "LOST TARGET". Lelouch manipulating Rolo for his Geass is just like what he said, using evil to fight greater evil. He only cares about Nunnally and finding out the truth about his mother's death, nothing else.

Lelouch

You talk about evil in the end is interesting and that why I love code Geass because this is one of its major themes, there are no truly evil people in life but there are evil actions and people who do more evil actions then helpful ones and people who do more helpful actions then evil ones, but There is no one in existence that if fully all evil or all good and white and black or the ether or way of thinking is heavily challenged in code geass. In my opinion the only true way to determine a person is mostly good or mostly bad is looking in hindsight, looking both at the persons actions and the results of those actions, at least for me I don’t really think a persons intentions should play a huge role in determining if a person was good or bad.

AwakeProductions

I disagree about intentions not playing a bigger role. think your intentions can play a huge role. For example, accidentally killing someone VS purposeful, premeditative murder. I think if your intentions are to do good, but it ends up hurting someone, it’s different than if you intended to hurt someone just to hurt them. They are both terrible outcomes, but I think a person’s intentions can change the way you look at the outcome or the person who committed the act.

Lelouch

Ok I respect that currently I have been trying to question all of my opinion and stuff so I need to think about some of that stuff to

@AwakeProductions Well said. Who is qualified to decide what is right or wrong? Who decides who's qualified? It's all so complex and it's what makes criminology and philosophy classes so interesting :) One thing I can say is there is no absolute answer for it, for now, the logic of the system collectively created and agreed by "society" determines it. No individualist has the right to decide what's right or wrong even if they have the power or intelligence to do so

Lelouch

Ya I agree that one person can’t decide what it right or wrong but I also think whole Society can make a wrong judgment a example of this is ww2 Germany where the vast majority of the popular and the society as a whole believes in extreme unjust and terrible things are ok. Morals are a tricky thing because differ people have different morals and the general public can be influenced to change morals.

Lelouch

Swan same here I love talking to you to it is so interesting. I agree with you except the part where you said one person can’t change things in large scales for the most part one person can’t but every once in a while one person can make a different Alexander the Great basically conquer the world, napoleon conquered all of Europe very fast then lost it but that is besides the point, Newton discovered calculus and are Scientific understanding of the world is built on his work. Every so often a single person can bring great change.

I should clarify. I believe one person can't change anything alone, no matter how strong they are individually. But everyone has their role in this world and we can all find things we can do, and by joining together is what makes us powerful. Great people throughout history accomplished wonders by doing exactly that :)

Some people have argued that Rolo's feelings for Lelouch are not of the 'brotherly" kind and he is a male version of Nina. Ijs

There is actually a pretty interesting scene you didn't comment on at 26:28: Lelouch is geassing a pilot to shoot at Rolo's knightmare so that Lelouch can take the hit. So even that shot he saved Rolo from was prepared in advance. That detail is also why Lelouch was saying "Not yet! I can't get caught *yet*!" while trying to escape from Rolo.

I'd like to see more CG weekly since it's my favorite anime. But i rather wait than see you crying. If u do not want to, do not push yourself.

AwakeProductions

How do u know he geassed it? I think ur talking about that sniper, right? Edit: I see now. He did geass him. But it wasn’t clear to me that he was saying to shoot him to make him look like the good guy. I think that’s what he was suggesting when he said, await further orders if it turned out that Lelouch didn’t think taking out Rolo would work? Or maybe he changed his mind and decided to play hero just to use him?

Radoras

My guess would be that Rolo was probably raised & trained as an assassin, otherwise I'd find it hard to believe that he was such a good killer AND already had a Geass at such a young age as shown in the first flashback-scene; chosen -> Geass from V.V. & figuring it out -> trained to be obedient; no private life, no childhood, just the mission...of course he would follow the orders until now, because he had no idea it could be any different before slipping in the Little-Brother-role

Christian

When and where do the google drive versions go up?

DennisAnimeFan

Yeah I think that thing on the display was an oversight unfortunately. But good job spotting it!
