Happy Friday!

This week was an interesting one, sure I did some drawings for Figtober but the big thing was creating an animation in TWO DAYS. Two days of 8 hours of work just for a little over 1 second of animation lol. But it was extremely rewarding and fun. I am very excited that I am so close to my goal of being able to do about 3 seconds a week. I see myself in the future making more animations on a regular basis a way to just create new art, and grow my skills with anatomy even further.

I am planning to make a video on youtube about how I did this animation so I wont bother you with too much of the details but I'll give an overall summary:

I found a short tiktok Video to rotoscope and mapped the pelvis across the key frames of the movement. Then I basically traced the legs for each of those frames and drew the rest on my own. The final result is completely different from the original which is why it doesn't look rotoscoped at all. I find this is a great way to learn and achieve realistic movement, but it just needs a little bit of work on your part to keep it from looking fake.

Have a great weekend!
