The previous pool has ended and the majority voted for DxD: Vox Gremory, so that will be my next game. Thanks for voting!

To make sure I can deliver a game you will be able to enjoy, I would like to hear what type of gameplay you would like the game to have:

Top-down RPG (Similar to RPG Maker):

A classic top-down rpg style game where you can navigate various maps, and interact with the characters there. It would include all the elements you can expect from such a game (Quests, Battles, and so on).

Advantages: Exploration, Even inconsequential characters would have a sprite.

Disadvantages: More time consuming to progress/get around when compared to a visual novel.

Pure visual novel (Similar to Overlord H):

A pure visual novel with meaningful choices that alter the storyline, but no gameplay elements whatsoever (No quests, no battles, no items, ...).

Advantages: Easier and quicker to play and enjoy the story.
Disadvantages: No way to change the pacing, only pure reading.

Visual novel with gameplay elements (Similar to Legacy of Hestia):

A visual novel with some gameplay to change the pacing of the game.

While Legacy of Hestia is the only example I currently have, DxD: Vox Gremory would not feature any dungeon crawling, the only gameplay elements would be quests, possibly some minigames, but the bigger focus would be put on battles.

DxD puts a great importance to chess pieces, and their effects on battles; The game would try to replicate that.
For example if you were facing a slow opponent who deals high damage or has a great defense, you could promote to rook and obtain useful bonuses against said opponent.

Advantages: Change the pacing of the game from reading, to minigames, to quests and battles.
Disadvantages: May need to repeat battles and minigames when restarting or losing.

Hm, Vox Gremory is awesome (even though I don't actually like Isse, I love the girls), but a top down RPG? My first thought is 'RPG Maker' which is a big 'Noooooo....' So VN with gameplay it is.
