A Political Cartoon from the Year 1879 shows Ned Kelly, the Premier of Victoria, Graham Berry, and a Personification of "The Age" Dancing around the Flag of Communism, in the Cartoon a Black Skull and Crossbones over the Name, "Communism" because the Hammer and Sickle Standard wouldn't be Designed for several more Years. Another Political Cartoon, this Time from the First World War, shows greedy Profiteers Robbing Australian Citizens with Ned Kelly ~ in full Armour ~ watching, and what he says is, "Well, well! I never got as low as that, and they Hung me."

Well, the rebellion theory does help to explain why Kelly would release a hostage without a guard whatsoever during a daring and critical phase of a plan. "Hey, I'm going to grab my gun to fight for you" is far more convincing than "Oh, love your crimes, bro, will you let me go, please?"
