Go to https://buyraycon.com/extracredits for 15% off your order! Brought to you by Raycon. Thanks to the folks at Tale Foundry ( https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCusb0SpT8elBJdbcEJS_l2A ) for guest writing this episode! You ever have the absolute need to do something in a game, even if it was detrimental or made the game harder to enjoy? Anything from rolling through the fields of Hyrule to storing every last potion right up until the end credits roll juuuuust in case. Well sometimes that can be the result of messy design decisions. So how do we clean up our design and make sure the player can get to the good parts of the game, without the compulsory parts? ___________ Support the people who make this show, vote for future Extra History topics and get great perks at our Patreon! http://bit.ly/EHPatreon Subscribe & ! to our channel on YouTube at http://bit.ly/SubToEC Got more info about Extra Credits on our website at http://extracredits.site/ Grab your Extra Credits gear at the store! http://extracredits.store/ Watch this episode ad-free at https://watchnebula.com/extracredits ___________ Thanks for participating in this week's discussion! I need to watch this again. One of the reasons I avoid the highest difficulty settings in the Sid Meier's Civilization series is so I don't have to cling to the ZigZagZigAl strategy guides, and can still do some things just for fun, especially building lots of wonders, instead of only the short list of recommendations.
