The Keys to Game Management - Management Culture Around the World - Extra Credits

Thanks to Fawzi Mesmar for writing this episode! As the Game Jam approaches and teams scramble to make a game over the weekend, we figured these tips on team management might be helpful! If you'd like to jam, check out our page here: https://bit.ly/349UpQf Fawzi Mesmar, the author of Al-Khallab on the Art of Game Design, has worked as a game designer and manager in many different parts of the world. Through his journey and career, he's noticed that each place he's worked has a slightly different approach to how management and employees work together. And each one has its own unique benefits which can help inform how a studio approaches work. By learning from each style, we can work better together in our increasingly global teams & you can adapt them for your own particular style. Wow. I've tried to understand management theories X, Y, and Z before, but mostly struggled, and I've forgotten nearly everything. I think part of the reason is that other presentations picked a winner, and tended to disparage the other two theories. This video is much more positive. I'll have to watch again, to get the differences between X, Y, and Z more clearly. To that end, I actually clicked through to YouTube, so I could save this video in a few existing playlists, and start a new "Biz Ed" list. Thank you all.
