god its annoying to not actually go into what people did. i mean, i get it, its gross and unpleasant, but we come here to hear history in all its grimy bloody detail.

Sorry we had to skip over the gore and gums. We wanted to keep this episode classroom-friendly (which medival medicine is decidedly not) & respect folks who get squicked out by teeth and dentists. We hope that we gave enough info to give you a general idea of how dental work evolved while giving enough detail for the still-curious to do their own research. Just uh. Be careful with google images. - Arthur

So who's next up in the regular extra history series, and are kittens involved?

Is it safe?

Paleolithic... Not Neolithic... is era in which Neanderthals lived. Agriculture is a part of Neolithic. Not to mention that video implies that they lived in 13000 BCE. They were extinct a long time ago.

I always assumed dentistry was just medieval torture rebranded as helpful.

I feel like my crowns would start to hurt if I watched this (lol)

Why is it only the US military and other federal entities that join Minnesota in seeing the health of children as a public good (from which all benefit far above its cost)? Loved this episode, and am very happy to be a Patreon supporter. :)
