Uh-oh, it's 2017 and the floor is lava! Check out our fully animated appearance in this year's YouTube Rewind video, an annual compilation of the best of YouTube. You might say we added some extra... credits!

Another year, another chance to realize I've never even heard of 99% of the most popular YouTubers, and I watch A LOT of YouTube. Not a complaint or anything, it's just wild remembering the sheer volume of stuff on the internet. (It's super cool seeing you guys included though, really enjoyed that animation!)

I think having it animated at the end is far more fitting for the style of the vids than having Dan and James either blend into a crowd of faces or be hidden in makeup like Matpat

Aside from EC, none of the youtubers I like were in that video, and Stephen Colbert doesn't count and shouldn't count as a youtuber as the studio simply puts up clips from his TV show and it's not content specially made for youtube. Also other than Matpat (urgh) and Simon's Cat (I don't mind that one just don't follow it) I don't think I have seen any of the others either.

Thanks for telling me about YouTube Rewind. I didn't know that existed. The whole thing was fun, even though I had no context for most of it.
