The Sein thing. He said he'll buy Fern whatever she wants, but Fern declines. Sein asks her if its because she and Stark picked out a present together. He's saying that Fern doesn't really want presents, or is irritated that she didn't receive them, from anyone, she just wants a present from Stark. And she wants the “choosing a present together” experience to be just between her and Stark.

Awesome reaction & review, Tee. ❤ & yeah, there's no doubt about the nature of Himmel's feelings. I adore all the scenes with Himmel & Frieren. I also love Fern & Stark, I ship them so much, srsly. 😆 (I always knew I'm a shipper at heart, but mangas & anime like Frieren make me realise just how much. 😆) I adore the Stark choosing the gift scene, maybe because I can relate, I always have trouble choosing presents for people, somehow I never know what to choose, it always makes me nervous. Heh.

Note that this ring first appears in episode 1... Where Frieren is idly staring at it, right after the funeral. Broke my heart, man. And her quiet, resigned "It's okay, I'm used to losing things." Is such a punch to the gut. This show is all about the little moments and I love that.
