Yes, Marley's technological advancements are equivalent to the technological advancements made in the 1930s in our world. Since Paradis lost all it's technology when they moved into the walls it is exactly 107 years behind in terms of technological advancement, it should be equivalent to the 1820s of our world. This is why the people inside the walls don't know what baseball is because it was invented in the late 1800s. There are lots of other hints such as cars and blimps and stuff and even combat attire. For anyone that doesn't know (I highly doubt that you haven't already) you should watch some AoT foreshadowing videos on YT, they show some basic foreshadowing that occured throughout seasons 1-3.

They're similar in the sense that they're both stubborn, reckless, and bear a strong hatred towards who they think is the enemy/use any methods available to kill them but they are not the same in terms of character. This resemblance is the strongest between season 1-2 Eren and Gabi however, and less so with season 3-4 Eren.
